As a Senior Manager at Bain, I have personally interviewed dozens of high-caliber individuals who got an interview slot. I've coached over a hundred people on how to navigate the management consulting interview process throughout my 6+ year-long career at Bain, whether that be resume editing, interview prep, or career advice. I didn’t get an offer that summer, but it was the fire that I needed. I doubled down and spent hundreds of hours studying, drilling, and mastering behavioral and case interviews. The effort paid off: I was able to secure an offer a McKinsey, where I worked for three years and attained the "Distinctive" performance rating. I firmly believe that mastery of the case interview is not just a means to secure a consulting offer -- it's also a predictor of success within the role itself. McKinsey opened a lot of doors for me, and I'm so excited to pay it forward to other deserving candidates who may not have the institutional or generational knowledge of competitive industries, but are otherwise immensely qualified.
