During my 3rd and 4th years of college, COVID-19 years, I engaged in countless hours of shadowing, service, and studying for the DAT. Additionally, my wife and I were lucky to have a child born two months before finals in the second to last semester of our undergraduate studies. With my wife’s support, I was able to surpass my goal on the DAT and we both graduated from BYU-Provo within 4 years of starting. I applied to 12 dental schools, interviewed at six, and was accepted and offered a position at all six schools beginning in the fall of 2022. I am currently a first-year dental student attending the University of Utah School of Dentistry. I have founded a Public Health Club and am a member of the Pediatrics and Business clubs among participating in a handful of others. Additionally, I am currently working on becoming an AHEC Scholar and am working to figure out a schedule to graduate with a dual degree MPH/DDS with the Dean of my school.

Entering dental school at the age of 29 - after already going through medical school, two Master's programs, and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering - I am driven to help guide those who are striving for a career in dentistry at any level. Serving in various leadership roles at my dental school and within state and national dental associations, I feel equipped to help prospective students prepare for and select the best dental program for them.

As the former Assistant Dean for Prehealth Advising at Fordham University and the Columbia University School of General Studies, I have guided countless students on their journey to dental school. I would make a strong coach for students applying to dental school because I understand the admissions process from both the applicant and evaluator perspectives. As a member of the student admissions committee at HSDM, I have reviewed applications, interviewed candidates, and participated in discussions regarding admissions decisions. This experience has given me insight into what distinguishes strong applicants beyond grades and test scores—such as clarity of motivation, professionalism, depth of experience, and the ability to reflect meaningfully. In addition, through two years of mentoring pre-dental students one-on-one and delivering presentations on the application process, I have helped students translate their experiences into compelling narratives and approach interviews with confidence. I am able to provide honest, strategic guidance grounded in firsthand knowledge of how admissions committees think and evaluate candidates.

As a current Harvard DMD candidate and private tutor, I have a deep understanding of the dental school admissions process and what it takes to succeed. My experience as an admissions counselor and tutor at College Choice Counseling and DAT Bootcamp has allowed me to help students excel in all areas of the Dental Admission Test (DAT), build strong school lists, plan resume-building activities, craft a personal statement, nail their interviews, and everything in between. I have helped dozens of students accomplish their dreams and I can help you reach yours too! For those curious about my application cycle: I applied to 11 schools, received interview invites to 10 schools, interviewed at 8 programs, and was accepted to 6 programs--including Harvard (where I now attend), UCLA (as an out-of-state applicant) with a Dean's scholarship, and UT Health Houston (as an out-of-state applicant) with their "Glenn T. Housholder Competetive Scholarship", which meant I would receive in-state tuition in addition to the scholarship money they were offering me.

My first experience with the application process was my own, where I was successfully accepted to my top 3 programs that I wanted to attend. Since then, I've spent my time, both in-person and on Instagram, answering the questions of pre-dental students and providing them with the tools they need to become a high-quality applicant - the student that admissions committees are looking for!

As a current dental student at The Ohio State University, I have been through the rigorous path of dental school applications. Applying during the mess of COVID I received interviews and acceptances from all of the schools I had applied at ultimately putting me at The Ohio State University. Starting on the journey without any prior family or friends in dental school I had to learn how to do it all and this forced me to find mentors and students along the way.. with getting assistance from so many others I would love to be that source for someone else.

As a Harvard-educated dentist and former member of the Harvard School of Dental Medicine admissions committee, I have a deep, first-hand understanding of what it takes to be selected by the world’s most competitive dental school. I have evaluated tens of applications and understand not only the academic standards, but also the less visible qualities - intellectual curiosity, leadership, maturity, and purpose - that truly distinguish successful candidates. As an international applicant myself, I personally navigated the unique challenges of the global admissions process, from credential evaluation to positioning one’s experiences within a U.S. academic framework. I have since guided other international and domestic applicants through this same rigorous pathway, helping them present compelling, authentic applications that resonate with elite admissions committees. My insight comes from both sides of the table: as an applicant who succeeded and as an evaluator entrusted with selecting the next generation of dental leaders.

I have worked in the mentorship space since college. I still advise students on how to get into their top undergraduate programs - specifically those that are international students. The application process for international students is much more difficult in both undergrad and professional school. To make matters worse, there is not much information available to students to navigate this complicated journey. This is where I come in. I can speak from personal experience and aid students - international or not - on how to navigate a difficult admissions process to get into the school you want to get into.
