Sophie has helped clients get into these companies:
The first time I interviewed with MBB, I bombed: I didn't understand what it would take to adequately prepare for case interviews, and was limited to reading Case in Point in my room. Determined to make a comeback, I spent hundreds of hours breaking down what it would actually take to get a second chance and be ready on interview day. As a result, I landed a full-time Business Analyst offer with my dream company, McKinsey. I later served on the recruiting team and TA'ed the Management Consulting course at the Johnson School of Business, helping candidates land offers themselves. In my last role, I interviewed 20+ candidates and reviewed 1,000+ resumes as a hiring manager. My coaching style is like a teacher's. I'm not just here to give you cases, I'm here to identify your biggest gaps and teach you the skills you need. My approach has helped 90%+ of my clients land MBB offers. I place a particular emphasis on cutting through the noise so you focus on exactly what you (specifically you!) need to be offer-ready.

About Sophie
As a child of immigrants - a Ukrainian mother and an Armenian refugee father - I understand what it's like to have high ambitions without institutional and generational knowledge. I also relate to the non-traditional experience: I joined McKinsey after completing a degree in engineering, with zero business experience. I decided I wanted to become a consultant because I love coaching, empowering others, and solving problems. My mission has always been to alleviate suffering. At McKinsey, I served clients on topics related to education, economic development, and social determinants of health. I was in the top 10% of business analysts, managed teams after 18 months, and was the McKinsey Center for Government Fellow in 2023. I also have supported 700+ individuals in crisis as a volunteer counselor at Crisis Text Line. My experiences have reaffirmed that I do my best work when I'm working with individuals 1-on-1 to help them overcome obstacles.
Why do I coach?
Breaking into these prestigious spaces can be life-changing, especially for nontraditional applicants. At the same time, there is a lot of insular knowledge that can be hard to access. As a first generation American, working at McKinsey opened doors for me that I wouldn't have otherwise had. Now, I'm here to pay it forward to other talented applicants. I also genuinely adore coaching and working with prospective consulting candidates.
