With a robust background in the film and television industry, I bring a wealth of experience from my roles as a Literary Agent at ICM Partners and an Investment Banking Associate at Guggenheim Partners, specializing in media, entertainment, and sports. My journey through Columbia Business School, where I earned my MBA with a focus on Finance & Media, has equipped me with the strategic insights necessary to navigate the complex landscape of talent deals, media rights and entertainment investments. I am passionate about helping aspiring filmmakers and media professionals break into the industry, leveraging my expertise in strategic analysis and negotiation. Before becoming a certified leadership coach, I spent over two decades navigating the high-stakes world of film, television, and fashion, leading creative teams, managing global productions, and driving cultural change in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. As a former executive in these industries, I’ve seen firsthand how performance, personality, and perception collide—and how lack of self-awareness can derail even the most talented individuals. Today, I work with creatives, executives, and emerging leaders to turn those invisible roadblocks into stepping stones. My coaching is grounded in real-world experience and certified training. I spent 10 years in the media and entertainment space in Los Angeles before I became a Career and Executive Coach, full-time. I started in feature animation production (DreamWorks Animation), moved to casting for film & TV, then went back to DWA as a C Level Executive Assistant and HR Admin, then moved to supporting a friend with a small corporate media company (events, think Vegas global sales conference) while acting and writing full-time, and then moved to recruiting interns (undergrad, JD and MBA) and entry level hires for the Walt Disney Studios, Lucasfilm and ILM. This included roles in production, animation (artists), VFX, marketing and brand management, brand partnerships, music licensing, art archiving, story/development and continuity, production finance, business development, corporate strategy and more! Whether you have questions about pivoting into a traditional "business" function within the entertainment world, are looking for an internship, or are wondering what it takes to be successful (financially) in a creative arena, I am happy to answer any and all questions.
