As a former healthcare strategy professional who successfully pivoted into Boston Consulting Group (BCG), I understand firsthand what top firms seek in exceptional candidates—and how to stand out in a competitive recruiting process. Currently pursuing my dual MBA and MS in Design Innovation (MMM) at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management, I’ve also served as a trusted career coach and mentor at both Kellogg and Carnegie Mellon University, helping 30+ students land consulting offers at leading firms. My coaching combines structured problem-solving, storytelling, and emotional intelligence to help clients not only excel in interviews but also develop the mindset of confident, thoughtful consultants ready to make an impact.

Entry: Prior to working at BCG, I got my MBA at Darden and recruited for consulting roles in both my first and second year. I can speak to both what contributed to my successful and unsuccessful applications and look forward to helping you navigate the application process. Success: I'm a former BCG Principal with 6+ years of experience in management consulting across numerous industries. I was promoted early to Principal and worked across multiple industries and multiple functions. I can speak to navigating feedback, staffing, and promotion.

I'm a former Bain consultant and spent several years helping dozens of potential MBB candidates practice case interviews, prepare applications, and network. I come from a non-business major (Computer Science) and can help STEM students optimize their resumes, interviews, and recruiting strategy to stand out. During my time at Bain, I spent over a year and a half in the Private Equity Group. I also did a number of growth strategy and performance improvement cases for large companies in the Tech, Telecommunications, and Education industries. After almost 3 years at Bain, I left to join a venture-capital fund. Since then, I've joined a high-growth startup as a product manager. I can speak to intentional professional development in an MBB environment and the transition from consulting to VC/tech startup ecosystem.

Through my 10 years there I was on multiple recruiting school teams, served as an interviewer, and ultimately helped run the bi-annual performance evaluation process. I have an incredibly refined instinct on what it takes to succeed and have mastered coaching the skills that are expected of our new ACs and Cs. What's up, I'm John Kreider! I'm a first generation college student and former Senior Associate Consultant at Bain & Company. I have personally done over 100 cases and given hundred more, helping dozens of students get offers at McKinsey, Bain, and BCG. I've also gotten others hired from industry, which is an uncommon strength. I was a part of Bain's recruiting team and started 1GEN at Bain (now called "First at Bain"), the affinity group for first generation college students/those from low-income backgrounds (FGLI). If you're looking to recruit for EY PAS, I've got you covered! I worked at EY for 3.5 years and was promoted early from Staff Consultant to Senior Consultant. I was part of the first cohort of People Advisory Services (PAS) intern class (interned there twice before joining full time) and helped build out several internal programs within PAS. While at EY, I was actively involved with campus recruiting. I represented EY at several campus events to recruit candidates, thus I have a strong understanding of what EY is looking for.
