As a two-time member of the Georgetown Law Admissions Committee with 10 years of experience as an admissions consultant, I know what law schools are looking for and how to help students present themselves positively and persuasively to the admissions committee. I am an expert educator and editor with experience teaching college students and professionals in one-on-one and group settings with specific emphasis in writing and prelaw skills. My experience as an attorney at the #1 intellectual property litigation group in the country, as well as in the federal government and small to medium-sized firms, has provided me with insider knowledge about the skills and qualities legal employers are seeking. My former students have graduated from some of the top law schools, including Columbia, Georgetown, and George Washington, and have continued on to federal clerkships, law firms, public interest, and government roles. I bring a unique perspective to law school admissions having served as the Director of Admissions at Stanford Graduate School of Education, where I reviewed joint degree applications including JD/MA programs. During my tenure at Stanford, I evaluated thousands of graduate applications annually and gained deep insight into how elite institutions assess candidates pursuing legal education combined with other disciplines.

I applied and am a big promoter of my experience at Harvard Law School. It's a grueling process, and no one should have to go it alone. I'd be happy to help you do so as well.

I earned my JD from Howard University School of Law, graduating in the top 10% of my class while serving on law review. After law school, I joined Paul, Weiss and later Kirkland & Ellis, advising leading private-equity sponsors on multi-billion-dollar M&A transactions, carve-outs, and complex fund formations. This combination of elite legal training and high-stakes deal work gives me a deep understanding of what top law schools and firms look for in applicants and future attorneys. Beyond credentials, I bring a coach’s mindset. I’ve mentored aspiring law students, junior attorneys, and MBA candidates on crafting standout applications, preparing for interviews, and positioning their career narratives for Big Law, clerkships, and JD/MBA paths. As a current JD/MBA candidate at the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton and Penn Law), I’ve seen firsthand how an authentic and strategic approach can help candidates stand out. Having taken an unconventional path into law school, business school, and finance, I’m passionate about helping other non-traditional candidates do the same.

Clients I’ve worked with have earned admission to T-14 programs and received significant scholarship awards, including applicants with unconventional paths or imperfect GPAs. Personally, I navigated the process twice (once with the GRE and once with the LSAT) and received multiple T-14 offers and scholarship packages, which gives me firsthand insight into how schools evaluate applicants. While I work with all candidates, I consider my coaching ideal for applicants with nontraditional backgrounds, career pivots, gap years, or imperfect GPA/LSAT profiles. Over the past several years, I’ve coached applicants with every kind of background. This ranges from traditional and non-traditional applications. Prospective students and clients have entered feeling they had imperfect credentials and often left with competitive admissions and scholarship decisions. Beyond my admissions experience, I bring a commercial and legal background that helps applicants articulate their professional maturity, career readiness, and real-world value in ways admissions committees respond to. I don’t just edit essays, in fact I'd suggest I'm not the best coach if tha'ts your main aim. I help you build a strategy that highlights your strengths, neutralizes weaknesses, and presents a cohesive, compelling story. The law school process can feel opaque and inconsistent. My role is to make it clear, structured, and tailored to you, so you’re confident you’re making the strongest possible case at every step.

I will work with just about anyone, but I specialize in helping individuals from underrepresented communities find their perfect law school fit and those who aren't necessarily aiming for Ivy Leagues/T-14/T-30 schools (but if that's your goal, I'm more than happy to help). There's so much information on what a law school applicant should do, it can feel overwhelming. My goal has always been to provide superior information targeted to each student's unique circumstances. No questions are off limits, I make the path simple, comfortable and understanding. We can tackle anything or everything – from the minutiae of getting your recs/transcripts to LSAC to crafting your personal statements. Perhaps the best definition I’ve heard of a law school personal statement is that it’s a chance to tell your story. My goal is to capture a side of you that no one can deny is uniquely you. Law school trains you to be an attorney. But every student, every lawyer, is first and foremost a person – with a story. Your story informs your judgment. As an attorney, you hold tremendous power in society. Showing an admissions committee who you are through your story demonstrates how you’ll use that power responsibly. Our purpose is to tell your story. I believe every person has greatness inside of them and our goal is to show your greatness through your story.
