My university is a non-target school for top consulting firms with around a ~67.6% admission rate and an unranked business school by USNews. The total student population of CSUF's business college is around 9,000+, and I was successful in differentiating myself and getting my profile in front of interviewers at most of the Big4 Consulting Groups (Deloitte Consulting, EY-Parthenon, Strategy&) and the three MBB frms (McKinsey, Bain, BCG). For many of these firms, I was the FIRST to interview from my undergraduate program in my school's history and the first to receive job offers. I also coach for deferred MBA admissions and undergraduate admissions on Leland.

Hi everyone — I was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company for over 3 years. Unlike a lot of folks, I didn’t come in with a business background. I only took one business class in undergrad and had zero business internships. You can fact-check that on my LinkedIn. I didn’t intern at McKinsey either — I actually applied after a public policy role I had didn’t turn out the way I hoped. Here’s how I can help: I landed the McKinsey offer as a non-traditional applicant from a non-feeder school. If someone like me can break through with the right prep, so can you. I spent 7 years at BCG, from Associate to Project Leader. During this time, I was also first Recruiting Coach and then Interviewer, having coached and interviewed 100+ applicants for Associate & Consultant positions. I did my MBA degree at INSEAD, during which I coached 50+ of my co-students who were trying to get into Consulting. Finally, after leaving consulting, I also intensively coached my wife who as a result got offers from McKinsey, BCG and Bain.
