Isaiah’s Management Consulting Qualifications
Experience level: Associate
As a first-generation college student who lacked connections to the corporate world and lacked a network of peers recruiting for consulting roles, I felt that I navigated recruiting in the dark. Despite this, I landed interviews at all of the MBB firms in competitive offices without referrals and received offers from BCG and Capital One almost completely through self-preparation. My successful approach to case interview preparation involved identifying weaknesses and responding with highly-targeted preparation, which is something I believe I could help others with! A part of my background that sets me apart is my almost decade of educational experience. Throughout high school, I worked at an after-school education center and during college, I led remedial economic study sessions for students struggling the most. I know how to meet students at any level and I'm excellent at providing feedback in an honest, but non-intimidating way! I also love going above and beyond by creating tailored preparation materials, such as hand-creating practice consulting cases tailored to a specific candidate's needs.

About Isaiah
I actually recruited for BCG twice: once when I applied for the internship (and was rejected) and once when I applied for a full-time role. Because of this, I know what strategies and methods do and don't work. I have ~5 of teaching experience (ranging from pre-schoolers to college students!), so I'm acclimated to tailoring learning materials to fit students' needs and making learning engaging and high-energy!
Why do I coach?
I was a first generation college student who never saw myself joining consulting. I know first-hand how difficult it can be to break into the industry, so I hope to be able to help others navigate this process!
