BCG, AlixPartners and Strategy& | 15+ Years MBB+ Executive who successfully passed and ran interviews from both sides of the table. I have spent years at BCG, AlixPartners and Strategy& as a Director and Associate Partner. Not just as Consultant but as a senior leader evaluating talent, building teams, and delivering results that moved billion-dollar P&Ls. I know what MBB firms are actually looking for because I was on the inside, making those calls. Here is what sets me apart from every other coach on this platform: ◆ I have been the candidate, the consultant, and the senior leader evaluating both. That full-cycle perspective is what I offer, not just generic interview tips. ◆ BCG. Strategy&. AlixPartners. SoftBank-backed startup. I do not just teach you to crack the case but prepare you to think like the Top Professional you are trying to become. ◆ Four languages. Three continents. Career switcher, international student, and top MBA => I have been in your shoes and coached people in your exact situation to land top firm offers. ◆ I tell you what does not work, why, and exactly how to fix it before your interview date. No frameworks recycled from a prep book. No false encouragement. Just the feedback most coaches are too polite to give, but what sets you apart from the rest. ◆ The case is 50% of the battle. I cover the other 50% too through strong narratives, networking, offer negotiation, and everything in between that actually gets you in and through the door. Who I work with best: Ambitious candidates and career switchers who are serious about breaking into Top Management Consulting or PE, want real feedback, and are willing to do the work between sessions. If you want someone to tell you that you are almost there when you are not, I am not your coach. If you want to actually get the offer, let's talk! 🔗 Book a free 15-minute intro call on my profile and let's find out exactly where you stand.

About Martin
I am Martin Winkowski, a Principal / Associate Partner Management Consultant turned executive coach with a career built across the top of the strategy world. I spent years at BCG as an Engagement Manager, then moved to Strategy& as a Director and Associate Partner. Between that, I served as Chief of Staff at a $3 billion venture backed by Mubadala and SoftBank with heavy growth and PE focus. I have worked across four languages (German, English, Spanish, French) and across three continents. I know exactly what MBB firms look for because I lived it from the inside. I know what separates candidates who get offers from candidates who do not, and I will tell you directly which one you are right now and what to do about it. My coaching style is straightforward. I do not sugarcoat. I do not do motivation speeches. I give you a clear-eyed read on where you stand, a structured plan to close the gap, and the honest feedback most coaches are too polite to give you. That is what got my clients results, and it is what will get you results. I coach on: ∙ Management consulting recruiting (MBB+ and beyond) ∙ Private equity career strategy ∙ AI integration for career leverage and productivity ∙ Executive strategy and leadership If you want someone to tell you you are doing great when you are not, I am not your coach. If you want to actually get in, get promoted, or get ahead, let’s talk.
Why do I coach?
Nobody handed me a roadmap. I want to change this for my coaching clients! When I was navigating my own career transitions from financial analyst at Siemens to strategy consultant, from BCG engagement manager to Chief of Staff at a billion-dollar venture, from operator back to the top of the consulting world at Strategy&, I figured most of it out through hard lessons, pattern recognition, and a handful of brutally honest mentors who told me what I needed to hear, not what felt comfortable. Those people changed my trajectory. Not because they motivated me. Because they showed me exactly where I was weak, what the business actually looked like from the inside, and how to close the gap with precision instead of hope. That is why I coach! I have sat in the BCG interview rooms. I have built the frameworks that MBB firms sell to Fortune 500 clients. I have evaluated talent, led teams across four continents, and advised C-suites through transformations worth billions. I know what the top of this industry looks like up close and I know how far most candidates are from it without realizing it. The honest truth is that most coaching in this space is too gentle to be useful. Candidates get encouragement when they need correction. They get frameworks when they need reps. They get told they are almost there when they are not even close. I coach because I know the difference and because the RIGHT feedback at the RIGHT moment genuinely changes what is possible for someone. I have seen it happen. I want to keep making it happen. If someone had coached me the way I coach my clients, I would have gotten there faster. That is the point.
