Alan’s Management Consulting Qualifications
Experience level: Associate
Alan has helped clients get into these companies:
As a current BCG Associate, I bring firsthand experience across the full consulting lifecycle—from due diligence to client delivery. I've worked on multi-billion dollar transactions spanning PE buy-sides and sell-sides, evaluated software and infrastructure assets, and independently led workstreams including client-facing demos of analytical tools I built from scratch. My background spans tech, industrial goods, defense, and operations. Before BCG, I interned at Altman Solon, where I developed strategic recommendations by synthesizing data across hundreds of locations and evaluating competitive positioning against 90+ players. I also bring an engineering lens from my time at Hypoflo, a surgical device startup, where I owned projects end-to-end and drove measurable cost savings. I graduated from Dartmouth with a dual degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Operations Research, and Engineering Sciences plus a minor in Statistics. My team of 2 PhD students and I won first place globally in the 2025 MOPTA optimization competition and I have teaching experience mentoring 200+ students. I understand what it takes to land consulting offers because I've done it, and I'm passionate about helping others navigate the process.

About Alan
Back in college, friends would ask me to review their resumes, prep for interviews, or talk through career decisions. This continued as I worked across startups, a boutique consulting firm, and now at BCG. No matter the environment, I found myself helping people make sense of their experience, hone their story, and build confidence around recruiting and interviewing. I view coaching as an extension of the way I’ve always shown up; my goal is to help clients move from uncertainty to clarity and to help you put your best foot forward through tangible feedback and strong storytelling.
Why do I coach?
I coach because I don’t believe interviewing should be the thing that limits someone’s potential, and I think everyone should be empowered to put their best foot forward. I’ve seen experienced interviewers get stuck on final round interviews after relying on rigid frameworks, and I've helped them convert their capability into MBB offers. I've also worked with complete novices, guiding them from scratch through my case interview process to help them reach final round interviews and ultimately secure the offer.
