Senior product and analytics leader with nine years of experience at McKinsey and Company. Built and scaled multiple intelligence platforms and products to global deployment yielding millions in annual recurring revenue. Architected and delivered mission critical technology transformations for Fortune 500 clients. Served on global year end review committee for early career technologists, interviewed over three hundred candidates, and built multiple teams over a near decade at McKinsey. I used to study monkeys (seriously), and specialize in helping STEM and non-traditional backgrounds break into management consulting and product.

At Bain for 3-years. Spent a year in undergrad understanding management consulting as a job and industry before I decided to pursue a career in the field. Previous School captain for BYU, interviewed candidates at BYU and Stanford. Coached over a dozen clients on MyConsultingOffer.com who landed jobs at MBB.

I am the only student to receive offers from both Bain and McKinsey from UC Santa Barbara. I just went through the networking and interview process, so tips and tricks are fresh on my mind compared to people who have left MBB after doing their time there. I have coached 7 friends into offers at Bain, McKinsey, LEK, Strategy&, EY, and PwC. I have also coached friends into Bain, McKinsey, BCG, LEK, Oliver Wyman, and Big 4 final round interviews.

I'm Maryam, a Wharton MBA (Class of 2026) and incoming BCG consultant in San Francisco, with prior experience advising Fortune 500 clients at Accenture. I've lived the consulting recruiting process from every angle: as a candidate who cracked it for the summer internship and got a return offer, and as someone who has spent years working with MBB consultants and knowing what the best firms look for. Breaking into management consulting is one of the most demanding recruiting processes out there, but more importantly, one of the most coachable. The difference between candidates who get offers and those who don't rarely comes down to intelligence. It comes down to how clearly you can structure your thinking, how compellingly you tell your story, and how confidently you show up. Those are things you can build, and I can help you build them. I officially coached candidates through the McKinsey coaching program. I have also helped coach over 10 candidates interviewing to get into consulting. I have a 70%+ success rate with them (extremely high for consulting). Beyond giving you a case, I give you tips and tricks that take you from good to great. I am extremely candid and have one goal: get you that job.

I’m a former strategy consultant with four years of experience at L.E.K. Consulting, where I also supported recruiting and candidate assessment. Prior to joining L.E.K., I went through the full management consulting recruitment process myself, receiving offers from Monitor Deloitte, Nous Group, EY-Parthenon, and KPMG Strategy. I recruited from a non-target university and come from multiple under-represented backgrounds, including being LGBTQ+, first-generation and low-income, and from a refugee background. I bring both insider knowledge of how consulting firms assess candidates and a deep understanding of how to navigate the process without traditional advantages.

I spent 3 years at McKinsey & Company, in the Chicago and Nairobi offices. I was among the first cohort of BAs ever trained to be case interviewers. I then spent 2 years interviewing on behalf of offices in the US, Europe, and Africa for roles ranging from summer interns through advanced/mid-career hires. Prior to becoming an interviewer, I led sourcing, resume reviews, and coaching across several recruiting cycles for intern and full-time candidates at the undergraduate and advanced degree levels. As a coach, I've helped successful MBB applicants land internships, entry-level, and post-MBA roles after working with them to perfect resumes, networking strategies, and behavioral stories, as well as nailing the case.
