Neal’s Management Consulting Qualifications

Coaches professionally

Experience level: Associate

As an Associate at Bain & Company, I know firsthand what top consulting firms are looking for in candidates at every stage of the recruiting process. I successfully navigated recruiting as someone from a non-traditional background. I received offers from multiple firms, including MBB and non-MBB, and understand the unique challenges that candidates from non-target schools or unconventional paths face. Whether you're breaking into consulting for the first time, trying to crack the case interview, or refining your resume and cover letter to stand out in a competitive pool, I can help you build a strategy tailored to your background and target firms. You don't need to go to a target school to land your dream offer, and I'm here to help you prove that.

Why do I coach?

Interviews and applications are storytelling, and storytelling is what I love most. I actually enjoy interviewing, and I've built my career around finding the narrative thread in a product, a strategy, or a person, then shaping it into something compelling. Coaching lets me do that for people instead of products. My own path to Harvard, Google, and NVIDIA was full of confusion. I didn't know anyone in these spaces, and I had no map for how to navigate the applications, interviews, or unwritten rules that seemed to matter so much. I want to be the person I didn't have: someone who can shortcut that confusion and show you what actually matters, especially in a landscape this competitive. Most of the time, what you need is already there. My job is to help pull it out, build a plan around it, and work backwards from your goal until it happens.
