About Sahana
Hello! I'm Sahana Rajanahally, a strategy and business leader with over a decade of experience spanning consulting, consumer brands, private equity, and entrepreneurship. Based in NYC, I bring a unique blend of corporate strategy, financial analysis, and hands-on operating experience. I’m passionate about helping ambitious professionals navigate career pivots, MBA admissions, and the path from individual contributor to executive leader. I began my career at Deloitte Consulting in Chicago, where I led strategy and business model transformation projects in the retail, food/beverage, consumer products spaces. I then joined Hickory Farms, where I launched and led the Strategy & Analytics function, working closely with the C-suite and Board of Directors to scale the business. My work spanned B2B and retail optimization, go-to-market strategy, financial analysis, marketing analytics, new product development, and operational improvements. Seeking to deepen my business and investing acumen, I earned my MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where I was selected as a Kellogg Scholar and served as VP of Professional Development for the Women’s Business Association. During this time, I also completed venture capital internships at Muse Capital and S2G Ventures, further developing my investment lens across consumer and food systems. Ultimately, I realized I was most energized by operating and scaling businesses, which led me to Shore Capital Partners' CXO Program. I was placed at Mosaic Flavors as an early operator (CXO), where I led M&A initiatives, internal growth and scaling efforts, and key operational improvements, while also working closely with the Board of Directors. I later stepped into a VP of Strategy role at FoodPharma, a New Harbor Capital portfolio company, and most recently joined Buzzie as COO and a member of the founding team, where I am helping build and scale the D2C brand from the ground up. In my free time, I love to travel internationally, discover the best new bars and restaurants, play racquet sports, and stay active through running and hiking. I’m naturally curious and love connecting with new people - both personally and professionally - and am always planning my next adventure, experience, or opportunity to learn something new.
Why do I coach?
I coach because I’ve seen how much the right guidance can accelerate someone’s trajectory - especially at key inflection points like applying to business school, pivoting careers, or stepping into leadership roles. Throughout my career, I’ve benefited from mentors who pushed me to think bigger and helped me navigate complex decisions—but I’ve also experienced what it’s like to make high-stakes choices without a clear playbook. From breaking into consulting, to pivoting into private equity-backed operating roles, to building a company from the ground up, many of those transitions required figuring things out in real time. That’s what I bring to coaching: not just advice, but practical, experience-backed guidance. I care deeply about helping people gain clarity, position themselves effectively, and move forward with confidence so they can access opportunities that might otherwise feel out of reach. When working together, you can expect a mix of honest, strategic feedback, and actionable next steps tailored to your specific goals.
