Accepted into Wharton MBA with two years of full time work experience. Among the youngest students in the class and sit on several major club boards and advise students on admissions criteria.

Recognized need for consolidated biographical narrative formatI'm Sam, an incoming McKinsey Associate and May 2026 Columbia MBA. Before business school, I was a Senior Associate Consultant at Bain in New Delhi and worked in global financial structuring at PwC in New York. During my MBA, I recruited for and landed both a McKinsey offer and a Senior PM role at Amazon, running both tracks simultaneously as an international student. I've been through MBB recruiting twice, navigated M7 admissions, and sat in FAANG PM interviews. I coach the way the best mentors in my life coached me: direct, specific, and focused on closing the gap between qualified and prepared!

I take a highly supportive approach to coaching and aim to create an environment in which my clients can be completely open about their worries so I can be the best possible coach for them. That said, you can expect me to be constructively candid – because coaching is about challenging you and accelerating your growth, not making you feel good so I can collect a check. In addition to sitting on both Stanford's and Northwestern's alumni admissions councils, I was an interviewer at Google and Facebook, so I've spent many hours "on the other side of the table" and can give you a strong sense for how you might be perceived by interviewers and admissions committees. I enjoy coaching people from a huge range of backgrounds, but I specialize in coaching folks from lower-income families, LGBTQ+ candidates, and those from unconventional backgrounds trying to thrive in tech.
