Why do I coach?
Coaching matters to me because I've seen what happens on both sides of the table when someone doesn't have the right support. It wasn't until later in my career, at Uber, where I found a mentor through their women's leadership community. She didn't hand me a plan — she opened doors while I was still figuring out where I wanted to go. That experience taught me what it actually feels like to have someone in your corner who believes in your potential before you've fully articulated it yourself. Before this, as a member of the admissions committee at Michigan Ross, I saw the other side. Talented, qualified candidates who struggled to put their story into words. The potential was there. The self-awareness was often there too. What was missing was someone to help them translate it. That's the gap I want to close. Most MBA applicants aren't lacking in accomplishment — they're lacking in someone who can help them see and articulate what makes them compelling. I've sat where the decision gets made. I know what lands and what doesn't. And I know how much the right guidance at the right moment can change the trajectory of what comes next
