Hi, I’m Avi! I grew up in Singapore, graduated from NYU Stern (summa cum laude), and now work as a BCG consultant. I’m passionate about helping applicants tell authentic, compelling stories. I was admitted to Wharton, Kellogg, and MIT Sloan with scholarships and know what top schools are really looking for in their admissions processes. You are expected to not only show academic and career strength, but also tell a narrative that shows what you uniquely bring to the table. For applicants from overrepresented industries - consulting, investment banking, private equity, even tech - it's a major challenge. My strength as a coach is helping my clients find and articulate exactly what makes them special and to make those stories jump off the page. We can spend time talking through your life and career experiences, identifying common threads, brainstorming and editing essays, preparing reviewers, and/or doing mock interviews. I recently graduated with MBA from INSEAD. I was invited for the interviews from INSEAD and HBS despite being in an over-represented demographic. As a non-traditional applicant myself, I completely understand your weaknesses and strengths. I found it essential and extremely helpful to get relevant feedback from experts while building a strong narrative in an extremely competitive pool. And I would like to give back to prospective students who are in my shoes to share my experiences and lessons learnt, and provide the right guidance for you to succeed. I graduated from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 2024, where I received the Miller Social Change Leadership Award and the Building Opportunities for Leadership Diversity (BOLD) Fellowship. I have worked across consulting, government, nonprofits, and startups in the U.S. and Latin America. As a biracial, first-generation student from a lower-income background with many different academic/professional interests and experiences (I've completed 13 internships between college and grad school!), I've often navigated spaces without a clear playbook and learned how to translate my experiences into a compelling narrative along the way. Because I have had to deeply reflect and connect the dots across my own path, I bring a thoughtful and structured approach to storytelling. I help candidates navigate the MBA journey end to end because I have personally gone through every stage of it and understand how tightly admissions decisions and post-MBA outcomes are linked. From GMAT strategy and school selection to regional trade-offs, cost-benefit analysis, scholarships, networking, interviews and final admit decisions, I have built and executed this process myself across US, European, and Indian business schools. I did not treat the MBA as a checkbox. I approached it as a strategic investment and designed my application and career plan accordingly. Since 2021, I have coached 18 candidates who have gone on to top-20 business schools. I work with clients to define their long-term career direction, shape a credible narrative and position them as candidates who know why they are pursuing an MBA and what they plan to do with it. This includes supporting professionals looking to change sector, function and region - A transition I successfully made myself during my MBA. Beyond admissions, I help clients prepare for post-MBA recruiting in consulting, leadership programs and big tech by aligning their MBA choices with realistic career outcomes. Welcome to my profile! As an MBA candidate at Harvard Business School, I bring experience in management consulting and AI product management. I am passionate about helping candidates with their MBA applications, especially those with non-traditional backgrounds. I received coaching during my own application process, and it completely changed how I viewed my story. Coming from NGOs, academia, and geopolitical consulting, I initially worried my background didn't fit the MBA mold.
