Hey there! I'm Katie—I earned dual MBA/MPA degrees at Stanford GSB and SPIA, and coach admissions for MBA, MPA, and fellowship programs for graduate and undergraduate students. I grew up in Tennessee, and got life-changing opportunities to gain a higher education through three fully-paid programs: the Jefferson Scholarship, the Knight-Hennessy Scholarship, and Princeton SPIA's funded MPA program. I've successfully navigated admissions to multiple MBA and MPA programs, and have weighed virtually every combination of joint degree and fellowship program out there. I know how high-stakes these application processes can feel, and how important it is to develop an application and interview in a way that reflects what you uniquely bring to the table. Beyond my own experience, I've spent six years serving on scholarship and admissions selection committees. I've seen how reviewers read applications, what makes essays memorable, and how candidates can avoid common obstacles in the process. I've coached +20 students through every stage of the process—from preparing for standardized tests and identifying the right programs, to crafting compelling narratives and preparing for interviews that feel authentic. Beyond working in investment policy, I love exploring running routes through my new hometown of San Francisco, dabbling on the piano, playing tennis at the park up the street, and hosting dinner parties with my wife.

After business school, I will be pivoting into real estate investment banking at a bulge bracket bank. Professionally, my background spans finance, law, and strategy. I have worked as a Portfolio Manager and Strategist at the real estate fund AGW Partners, as well as in various roles at the international law firm, Kobre & Kim. I also bring many years of mentorship experience through America Needs You and Big Brothers Big Sisters, helping students identify their strengths, build confidence, and translate their experiences into compelling narratives. I am especially passionate about working with candidates from non-traditional backgrounds, including those looking to pivot from fields like law or other professional services into business. I am a current student of the Kellogg School of Management, with previous work experience within management consulting and in two high growth startups in NYC . I graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor of science in Finance and received my masters degree in Information Systems and Operations Management. After school, I spent some time at management consulting firm Guidehouse Consulting before I transitioned to a Series B Unicorn food tech startup called Gorillas - the fastest European startup to ever reach a $1B valuation. I led the growth function at Gorillas for one year until I was offered the opportunity to lead North American expansion for micro-mobility startup Zoomo. At Zoomo I led our expansion into new markets, including launching our first Canadian operations. As an applicant from an over-represented demographic with a sub-optimal GMAT score and a lack of "prestigious" work experience I was able to navigate the application process and successfully land multiple top business school admits. As a coach, I plan to teach you the tips and tricks necessary to be successful in the ultra-competitive business school admissions cycle. I had immense success with gaining admission to a number of M7 and Top 10 schools including Kellogg, Yale, and Dartmouth Tuck.
