Welcome to my profile! I'm Matt, a former consultant with experience at both Big 4 and boutique firms, and I'm here to help you master the case interview process. With an MBA from Darden School of Business and an MS from McIntire School of Commerce, I bring a wealth of knowledge and elite best practices to improve your framework development, math skills, and creative thinking during case interviews. I've successfully coached individuals from diverse backgrounds, helping them break into the consulting industry. - I worked as part of the recruiting team and am very familiar with the process and what management consultants are looking for: 1) worked in the networking sessions and diversity sessions, 2) coffee chats, 3) resume and cover letter reviews (both as initial reader and grader and final approver to go to the next round for 300+ applications), and 4) behavioral and case interviews (20+ candidates). I was the diversity recruiting lead for Stanford. - I have worked with multiple clients extensively on their resumes and cover letters, talking points for their behavioral interviews, and case interview prep. They are now consultants at Bain, BCG, McKinsey, Deloitte, and FSG (a top social impact firm alongside Dalberg and Bridgespan). I also have worked with 75+ individuals in a less extensive capacity on their consulting recruiting process (e.g., resume help or doing a case interview)

I’ve cased with dozens of preparing interviewers who have gone on to receive offers at McKinsey, Bain & Co, Bain Capital, LEK Consulting, and others! I have received full time offers in Management Consulting, Private Equity, Growth Equity, Venture Capital, and AI operations. I also ran the BYU PE/VC association and have mentored 20+ individuals that have placed into PE/Growth/VC, both directly out of undergrad and after a 1-2 year analyst program in consulting or IB. Left consulting as the first US hire for a Y Combinator backed company to lead GTM Strategy, Sales and Implementation.

If you're looking to recruit for EY PAS, I've got you covered! I worked at EY for 3.5 years and was promoted early from Staff Consultant to Senior Consultant. I was part of the first cohort of People Advisory Services (PAS) intern class (interned there twice before joining full time) and helped build out several internal programs within PAS. While at EY, I was actively involved with campus recruiting. I represented EY at several campus events to recruit candidates, thus I have a strong understanding of what EY is looking for. I participated in several interview processes as an evaluator and can give you solid pointers how how to standout throughout the process.

Management consulting is a prestigious and lucrative career path with great exit options to business school and executive roles, and because of that it's very competitive to break into. But you already know that. As an undergrad at Princeton, I received offers from every consulting firm I applied to. After joining McKinsey, I was heavily involved in recruiting, read hundreds of resumes, and was trained to do interviews. While at McKinsey and since then, I've done countless resume reviews and mock interviews with friends and clients to give them the best chance at getting an offer. I was trained to give high-quality, realistic mock interviews (both personal and case) and can give you feedback from the lens of someone who knows how firms assess candidates.
