I'm Julie, a former Partner at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where I spent more than a decade advising senior executives and leading teams across a broad range of strategic and operational challenges. During my tenure, I progressed from Associate to Partner, giving me firsthand insight into every stage of the consulting career path—from securing an offer to succeeding and advancing within the firm. In addition to my client work, I was deeply involved in BCG's recruiting and talent development efforts. For six years, I served as an interviewer and member of the recruiting committee, evaluating hundreds of candidates across undergraduate, MBA, and experienced-hire recruiting. I was directly involved in assessing candidates and making hiring decisions, giving me a clear perspective on what distinguishes those who receive offers from those who do not. I hold an MBA from The Wharton School, where I was recognized as a Palmer Scholar (top 5% of the graduating class), and a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen's University. Since leaving BCG, I have continued to mentor and coach candidates pursuing careers in consulting. I help candidates strengthen their resumes and applications, develop compelling personal narratives, refine their networking approach, and excel in both fit and case interviews. My coaching combines practical recruiting insights with candid, actionable feedback tailored to each individual's goals and experience level. I work with undergraduate students, MBA candidates, experienced professionals, and career switchers pursuing opportunities at MBB firms, Tier 2 consultancies, boutique firms, and internal strategy teams. Whether you are preparing for your first consulting interview or targeting a senior experienced-hire role, I can help you navigate the process with the same rigor and perspective used by the world's leading consulting firms. I look forward to working with you.

About Julie
I've sat on every side of the table you're trying to get to. I spent a decade at BCG, where I rose from Associate to Partner and built a career advising Fortune 500 leadership teams on growth strategy, transformation, operations, and operating model design. Before that, I cut my teeth in investment banking at CIBC World Markets and in corporate strategy at Warner Bros. Today, I'm the Chief of Staff at a PE-backed global AI platform, where I lead AI strategy, long-range planning, board governance, and corporate development. I earned my MBA at the Wharton School, where I graduated as a Palmer Scholar (top 5% of class), and a BCom with First Class Honours from Queen's University. I know what makes an MBA application stand out — not because I read about it, but because I lived it, and because I've since hired and developed dozens of MBA graduates at BCG and beyond. What I can help you with: 1. Breaking into management consulting — MBB and tier-2 firm applications, resume strategy, case prep, behavioral interviews, and the unwritten signals firms actually screen for 2. US MBA admissions — School selection, essay strategy, resume positioning, recommender management, and interview prep, with a particular focus on M7 programs 3. Resume screening and career positioning — How to make a recruiter, hiring partner, or admissions reader pause on your resume in the seven seconds you actually get I work best with candidates who are ambitious, coachable, and willing to do the unglamorous reps it takes to break through. If that's you, I'd love to help you get where you're going faster than I did.
Why do I coach?
Because nobody gets there alone! Every meaningful step in my career happened because someone took the time to invest in me. A manager who pulled me aside after a challenging client meeting and helped me learn from it. A partner who supported me in applying to Wharton. Mentors who reviewed my consulting applications, ran practice cases with me at 10pm, made introductions, and told me when my resume wasn't yet where it needed to be. I wouldn't have made Partner at BCG, or landed at Wharton as a Palmer Scholar, or built the operator career I have today without the dozens of people who chose to spend their time on me. So I take mentorship seriously. At BCG, I was recognized with the firm's annual mentorship award for the Canadian system — which mattered to me more than most of the professional accolades I've collected, because it meant the people I'd invested in had felt it. Here's what I want you to know: getting into consulting or a top MBA is not a one-person show. It's a team sport. The candidates who break through aren't necessarily the smartest in the room — they're the ones who built a team around them, took feedback seriously, and put in the reps. My job as your coach is to be the most useful member of that team. I'll tell you the truth about your resume, your essays, your case performance, and your story. I'll push you when you're underselling yourself and rein you in when you're overreaching. And I'll do it because someone did it for me, and because I genuinely care whether you get where you're trying to go. If you're willing to do the work, I'm in your corner!
