Welcome to my profile! I’m a former McKinsey Digital consultant who helps candidates break into top-tier consulting firms with confidence and clarity. Over the past few years, I’ve coached more than 40 aspiring consultants, from undergraduates to experienced professionals, who went on to secure offers at McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Deloitte, and other leading firms. Drawing on my McKinsey experience in digital strategy, product management, and client delivery, I teach candidates how to think, communicate, and problem-solve like consultants. My coaching combines insider frameworks, live case simulations, and tailored feedback to sharpen analytical rigor, structure, and executive presence. Beyond interview prep, I help clients craft powerful resumes and personal stories that stand out in a competitive recruiting process. I’m a former Project Leader at BCG with deep experience in consulting and helping candidates succeed in consulting interviews. I’ve served as an interviewer for associate roles and have also delivered 30+ mock interviews for prospective candidates. I also served as one of the two Wharton MBA recruiting leads for my office, where I conducted coffee chats, coordinated outreach, supported interview prep, and partnered with firm leadership to identify and prepare top candidates. Before BCG, I received my MBA from Wharton where I was an active member of the Consulting Club. During my second year, I served as a case coach, running 50+ practice cases with first-year students. Across both experiences, I’ve developed a sharp sense for what makes candidates stand out—structured thinking, clear communication, and calm under pressure. What's up, I'm John Kreider! I'm a first generation college student and former Senior Associate Consultant at Bain & Company. I have personally done over 100 cases and given hundred more, helping dozens of students get offers at McKinsey, Bain, and BCG. I've also gotten others hired from industry, which is an uncommon strength. I was a part of Bain's recruiting team and started 1GEN at Bain (now called "First at Bain"), the affinity group for first generation college students/those from low-income backgrounds (FGLI).
