About Jocelyne
I’m a Stanford MBA graduate, strategy and operations leader, and the daughter of Mexican immigrants who instilled in me the belief that education can change the trajectory of a life. My career has taken me from companies like Accenture and Google to venture-backed startups, where I’ve worked on building products and strategies that create meaningful impact. When I went through the MBA application process myself, I realized that the most powerful applications aren’t just about impressive resumes, they’re about telling a clear, authentic story. The candidates who stand out are the ones who connect their experiences, values, and ambitions into a compelling narrative. That insight is what drives my coaching today, and I work with applicants to turn their experiences into thoughtful, strategic applications that admissions committees remember. Outside of work, I’m a lifelong dancer and creative storyteller. Dance has taught me discipline, expression, and how to move an audience, skills that surprisingly translate directly into crafting a compelling MBA application. My goal is to help each candidate present the most confident and authentic version of themselves as they pursue their next chapter.
Why do I coach?
I coach because mentorship changed the trajectory of my life. As the first in my family to navigate many academic and professional spaces, I relied heavily on mentors who helped me see possibilities I didn’t yet see for myself. Without their guidance and encouragement, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Coaching is my way of paying that forward. One of the most rewarding parts of this work is helping people realize that their personal story is more powerful than they think. Many applicants assume their experiences aren’t “MBA-worthy” because they don’t revolve around traditional business topics like P&Ls. But the most compelling applications are often the most genuine ones, the moments that reveal someone’s values, motivations, and the impact they want to make. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a client’s face light up when their story finally clicks, when they realize they can confidently share something personal that truly represents who they are. Those are the stories admissions committees remember, and helping people tell them is why I love coaching.
