I am interested in helping guide aspiring Pre-med and medical students through the admissions/application process. My journey includes completing my MD at Tel Aviv University, Internal Medicine residency at UConn, Chief Resident at Greenwich Hospital, and currently as a Gastroenterology Fellow at Rochester Regional Health. I have also obtained a graduate certificate from UConn in health professions education while in residency. Moreover, I have worked with students, residents, and peers helping them navigate the complexities of both medical school and residency applications and interviews; in addition to helping tutor for the USMLE and ABIM exams.

I am a dual-degree MD/MBA student at a T5 Ivy League Medical school and Ivy League M7 business school, and I understand firsthand the complexity of applying to medical school, and to combined programs, while trying to build a compelling, mission-driven narrative. I have experience navigating the application process, refining personal statements and secondary essays, and aligning academic, research, and leadership experiences into a cohesive story that resonates with admissions committees. My training in both medicine and business also gives me a strong perspective on what MD/MBA programs look for: intellectual curiosity, leadership potential, systems thinking, and a clear vision for impact in healthcare. Beyond my own journey, I have worked extensively on research, healthcare innovation projects, and leadership initiatives that required communicating complex ideas clearly and persuasively, skills directly transferable to crafting strong applications. I coach students on how to articulate their motivations for medicine, demonstrate impact through their experiences, and position themselves effectively for MD and MD/MBA programs. My approach focuses on clarity, authenticity, and strategy, helping applicants present not just what they’ve done, but who they are and the kind of physician-leader they aim to become.

Having recently gone through the medical school application process, I am excited to mentor premedical students as they prepare their own applications. I was fortunate to receive over 15 acceptances at top programs—including Harvard, Penn, Columbia, Duke, Yale, and Vanderbilt—along with full-ride scholarship offers. I aim to translate these experiences into actionable, individualized advice for future applicants.

Gaining admission to medical school can be incredibly challenging. I am here to help you each step of the way, from crafting your AMCAS application, requesting letters of recommendation, perfecting your personal statement, completing secondaries, preparing for interviews, and ultimately selecting a school that aligns with your career goals. Prior to Leland, I have worked closely with several medical school applicants who have each gained admission to stellar programs. My philosophy is to spend time up front getting to understand your background, motivations for pursuing medicine, and aspirations for your medical career. From there, we can work to craft an application that communicates your story in a manner that will impress admissions committees while staying true to yourself.

Despite not having a perfect transcript or resume of accolades, I was accepted to a medical school that boasts a <2% acceptance rate. I am driven to bolster the next generation of physicians and leaders in healthcare by helping fill the gaps in the application, interview, and school selection process.

As a current medical student at the University of Miami School of Medicine with an engineering background, I bring a unique perspective to the medical school admissions process.
