Sai’s Medical School Qualifications
50+ people coached for Medical School
I am a dual-degree MD/MBA student at a T5 Ivy League Medical school and Ivy League M7 business school, and I understand firsthand the complexity of applying to medical school, and to combined programs, while trying to build a compelling, mission-driven narrative. I have experience navigating the application process, refining personal statements and secondary essays, and aligning academic, research, and leadership experiences into a cohesive story that resonates with admissions committees. My training in both medicine and business also gives me a strong perspective on what MD/MBA programs look for: intellectual curiosity, leadership potential, systems thinking, and a clear vision for impact in healthcare. Beyond my own journey, I have worked extensively on research, healthcare innovation projects, and leadership initiatives that required communicating complex ideas clearly and persuasively, skills directly transferable to crafting strong applications. I coach students on how to articulate their motivations for medicine, demonstrate impact through their experiences, and position themselves effectively for MD and MD/MBA programs. My approach focuses on clarity, authenticity, and strategy, helping applicants present not just what they’ve done, but who they are and the kind of physician-leader they aim to become.

About Sai
I am a dual-degree MD/MBA student at the University of Pennsylvania, studying medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine and business at the Wharton School with a focus on Health Care Management. My interests center on improving how healthcare is delivered, especially how systems, incentives, and operations can be redesigned to expand access, improve quality, and support physicians in providing better care. Alongside my training, I have worked on healthcare research, innovation projects, and entrepreneurial initiatives that have strengthened my ability to think strategically, communicate complex ideas clearly, and translate goals into practical plans. My path to medicine and business has been driven by a strong sense of purpose and curiosity about how healthcare can work better for patients and clinicians alike. Through mentoring and coaching, I enjoy helping others clarify their own goals, tell their stories effectively, and approach applications with both strategy and authenticity. I believe the strongest applications are not just lists of accomplishments, but clear, compelling narratives about who you are, what drives you, and the impact you hope to make.
Why do I coach?
I coach because I know how challenging it can be to navigate competitive application processes without clear guidance. Throughout my own journey to medical school and business school, mentors played a pivotal role in helping me refine my story, think strategically about my goals, and present my experiences in a way that truly reflected who I was. That support made a meaningful difference for me, and coaching is a way to pay that forward. My motivation is also deeply personal. My interest in medicine and healthcare systems was shaped by experiences in my own family and by seeing how access, geography, and resources can determine who receives timely care and who does not. That perspective drives me to help others pursue careers where they can make a real impact. I find it incredibly rewarding to help applicants clarify their motivations, gain confidence in their story, and take concrete steps toward careers in medicine, business, and healthcare leadership. For me, coaching isn’t just about getting into a program - it’s about helping people move closer to the work they feel called to do.
