I have a wealth of experience in the graduate management education sector and a global industry network. I have worked in higher education for almost 10 years. Most recently I was Director of Admissions at Imperial College Business School, and prior to that I was Head of MBA Recruitment and Admissions at Cambridge Judge Business School. I’ve read countless applications, interviewed hundreds of candidates and chaired many Admissions Committee meetings. Hi :) I'm an MBA graduate of Stanford's GSB (focus on entrepreneurship & energy), and I bring a wealth of experience in both the academic and professional realms. My journey includes roles in venture capital, entrepreneurship, and engineering. I was also a D1 athlete, but am sadly "washed up" and retired. I've successfully coached individuals through their MBA applications, helping them craft compelling narratives across the whole of their application. I am a great MBA coach because of the unique process and framework I developed and followed to obtain admission to multiple top 10 MBA programs. I come from a low-income first generation immigrant and college student background. I have experienced first hand what it's like to undergo the application process as an underdog by multiple measures and emerge victorious. I know how to navigate the common pitfalls and how to build a competitive application that punches above its weight. In addition, I have a passion for passing on the torch to the next generation and pulling folks up as I climb. In my free time I coach/mentor multiple students and professionals that share my background and have repeatedly heard from them that my advice, clear communication, and encouragement was instrumental in helping them achieve their academic and career goals. A couple years into my time at BCG, I was staring at a blank essay, wondering how to fit my whole story into 500 words. I wrote the “safe version” because that’s what everyone at BCG was doing, and it got me into Wharton and Booth, both with scholarships. But then I decided business school didn't make sense for me at that time, because my answer to Stanford GSB's "What Matters Most" essay read like what I thought the school wanted to hear. I didn't actually know what mattered most to me. A couple years later, with far more clarity, I reapplied to the GSB and answered that essay prompt honestly. What emerged wasn’t designed to impress anyone, but an honest attempt to capture who I am. Many well-meaning readers, including some coaches, told me it needed to be sanitized, edited, rewritten. I trusted my gut, trusted my story, and applied anyway. This past June, I wrapped up my unforgettable journey at Stanford. I coach the way I wish I’d been coached: fewer templates, more truth. I've helped several coachees since share their authentic AND impressive stories, because the two aren't mutually exclusive; I'd argue they're deeply related. I grew up in Russia and I had the privilege of studying at the Higher School of Economics, where I graduated with honors. My career began at EY - Transaction Advisory Services in Moscow, where I juggled a demanding full-time job with a full-time master’s program. In 2017, my work paid off with an international transfer to EY Boston. By 2022, I had realized a dream by joining the MBA program at Harvard Business School. Beyond my professional life, I’ve spent the last 15 years mentoring students in Moscow and Boston through UStrive, and engaging in social consulting projects with non-profits in Boston.

Shortly after earning my MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, I began coaching MBA applicants through one of the most transformative processes of their professional lives.
