I became an Independent Educational Counselor when I noticed a dearth of college admissions counselors with their own STEM backgrounds and experience. I believe aspiring STEM majors deserve not just a counselor, but a mentor who’s been there and really understands them. I’ve combined my STEM education and career experience with deep knowledge of how to gain admission and succeed in today’s STEM higher education system to provide tailored services that meet the specific needs of STEM students. My Admissions Counseling services help families through the stressful process of applying to STEM college programs. I understand your aspiring STEM major far better than an ordinary counselor could. I serve as a role model and mentor for my students through this formative period, all for the same or less than generic counselors. I also leverage my massive network of STEM professionals, including college professors and industrial scientists and engineers, to make introductions for my students and obtain important perspectives and info about STEM majors, college programs, and careers.

Prior to coaching, I had 4 years of graduate admissions experience as a recruiter, director and regional director of admissions for multiple universities. I have helped students to achieve their goal of receiving acceptances at elite universities and private institutions such as Brigham Young University.

My career began at Hunter College High School in NYC, where I helped students achieve their dreams of attending top-tier universities. I was instrumental in founding the college counseling program at Léman Manhattan Preparatory School, leading to exceptional college acceptances. As a professional college admissions interviewer and a contributing writer for admissions platforms, I possess the knowledge and experience to help you craft an exceptional application that showcases your strengths and ultimately leads to you being the one chosen among all the others. My international experience includes leading the college counseling department at elite international schools in Tokyo (IB) and Shanghai (IB/AP), where I supported students from diverse backgrounds while exploring the world. Three years ago, I pivoted to private practice to support students in this process, taking on only a handful of clients each year. I take a humanistic, there's a school/program-for-everyone approach to college coaching. I've previously worked in admissions at Ivy League schools and in student affairs. I've also I've coached students, from first-year's in high school to seniors that got into Penn, Cornel and MIT, to name a few. I care about getting to know you so that we can find schools that aren't just the "best programs," but the "right fit."
