I'm Ella. I graduated from BYU with a degree in Human Resource Management, converted from intern to full-time at Leland while finishing my degree, and spent time during my undergrad as a mentor in BYU's HR Program helping students land internships at competitive companies like EY. I believe crafting the right narrative is the most important part of your college application. The students who get in, who get hired, who stand out are almost never the most impressive on paper. About Ella
I'm Ella, and I work in Coach Success at Leland, where I spend my days helping coaches build their presence and connect with the students who need them most. I graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Human Resource Management and spent the last year and a half with one foot in the classroom and the other fully embedded in the world of coaching and mentorship. I've been through the BYU admissions process myself, navigated the business school application, and figured out how to show up strong in my first internship before it turned into a full-time offer. Since then, I've helped students get into BYU through essay strategy that is both crisp and authentic, coached applicants through BYU business school interviews, and worked on the resumes that got them in the room. Narrative and branding is my thing. I do it professionally for Leland coaches, and I can do it for you.
Why do I coach?
I work in the coaching industry for a living, which means I've had a front-row seat to what happens when someone finally gets the right support. I've seen the "I got in" emails and texts sent to coaches, and watched students land internships they thought were completely out of reach. A great coach helps someone navigate the nuances of reaching their goals. In today's admissions and recruiting processes, uncertainty doesn't have to feel as painful. What I've learned from all of it is that the students who succeed are almost never the most impressive on paper. They're the ones who figured out how to tell their story in a way that lands. That's exactly what I help with. Whether you're writing your BYU application essay, preparing for a business school interview, or trying to figure out how to present yourself in your first internship, I'll help you find the narrative that is true to you and your goals.
