For more than 15 years, I have worked in higher education and admissions, including as an Associate Director of Admission at the University of Southern California, where I reviewed thousands of applications and supported students and families through some of the most pivotal moments of their lives. I offer a rare, holistic approach that goes beyond strategy. I wasn’t the typical profile for Carnegie Mellon University’s undergraduate class. With a 3.5 GPA and limited extracurricular involvement because I was supporting my mother at home, I assumed top schools were out of reach. What I underestimated was the power of a compelling narrative. Despite my lower GPA, I became a QuestBridge Scholar, earned a full ride to College of William & Mary and significant scholarships from University of Notre Dame and University of Virginia, and was admitted as a Science and Humanities Scholar at Carnegie Mellon University. Since then, I've helped students of different backgrounds get into their dream schools by crafting an application that highlights their strengths and mitigates their weaknesses. Now a T-14 law student, I graduated with my BA summa cum laude in just 3 years. I am ready to meet students where they are, and find a school that is the perfect fit for them in terms of academics, culture, extracurriculars, location, and scholarship.

I've spent over a decade on every side of the admissions table — as a Harvard PhD who taught over 30 courses to more than 1,000 undergraduates, reviewed admissions applications, and served as a Senior Advisor on the Tutorial and Advising Board. I've worked alongside Nobel-winning faculty and nationally recognized writers, and I know exactly what the candidacy profile of a student who gets in looks like. More than 300 of my students have been admitted to Stanford, Princeton, Brown, Vanderbilt, Cornell, NYU, UC Berkeley, UChicago, and many more. My approach is personal and narrative-driven. I help students uncover what makes them distinctive and build a cohesive application story — from Common App essays to activity lists to interview prep. I speak five languages and work especially well with international and multilingual families navigating an unfamiliar system.

I was admitted Early Decision to Duke University and also received the Regents Scholarship to every UC school I applied to (including Berkeley and UCLA). I had a 4.0 unweighted GPA in high school and a 4.0 GPA at Duke University, where I graduated summa cum laude with degrees in Classics and Computer Science. While I have been told I am a skilled writer, more importantly, I promise I can help you be a skilled writer as well, even if you aren't already. Writing doesn't come naturally to me, but after majoring in the classics and participating in academic debate, I have an excellent understanding of what makes writing persuasive and memorable—something I will help you apply to your college essays. GPA and extracurricular activities are important (and I will give you detailed and comprehensive advice on maximizing both of these aspects), but I guarantee that every student I coach will have not just excellent stats, but also a well-rounded application that will turn heads at any school.

I graduated from Brown University in 2020 magma cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science, with honors; I am also a member of the Pi Sigma Alpha honors society. I applied early decision to Brown in 2016, and was accepted. I received the Philo Sherman Bennet Thesis Prize for my published research entitled “Capturing the White Women Vote: An Analysis of Characteristic Determinants and Political Messaging." I was a research assistant for Professor Wendy Schiller and published two pieces with her: Cambridge University Press, Inequality Across State Lines: How Policymakers Have Failed Domestic Violence Victims in the United States (2023) and American Political Science Association: “Inequality in Human Security: Gun Ownership & Domestic Violence” (2018). I was the Interviews Director for the Brown Political Review and the Site Leader for Brown Elementary Afterschool Mentoring; through my volunteer work, I was awarded the Bonnor Community Fellowship.

After graduating with both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees, working for UNC Office of Undergraduate Admissions, and working as a College Admissions Consultant, I am well-versed in the world of college admissions. I've helped students with everything from choosing classes and extracurriculars, standardized test preparation, and school selections to editing their Common App Essay/personal statements, helping formulate their application, and interview preparation. I have additionally lived in four different countries and am very comfortable advising international students, as well as US students that hope to go to university abroad, specifically in the UK. Some schools my students have gotten into include: Northwestern, University of Washington, UNC Chapel Hill, Hofstra BS/MD program, Penn State Schreyer Honors College, Virginia Tech, and more.
