Throughout my fifteen years with SBC Consulting, ten years as Chief Editor with IvyPath College Consulting, and four years with MBA Prep School, I’ve helped countless applicants gain admission to their dream schools. With a primary focus on undergraduate admissions, I help clients present themselves as uniquely individual and authentic in their fit for each specific school and as passionate and contributing future alumni. Nothing is more important than a client’s story that reveals not only life experience but also the specific challenges that shaped unique qualities of character, personality, talents, goals, and desire to impact both the local and wider community throughout life. My method of finding the best story is through a series of questions that include a client’s most inspiring people, favorite moments, defining moments, and greatest challenges, fears and successes. When we have those answers, we have the beginnings of a story.

I’m a Georgetown graduate and admissions interviewer with deep experience helping students communicate their strengths clearly and confidently. I’ve tutored students extensively in writing, guiding them through drafting, revising, and shaping personal statements that reflect their unique story. I bring structure to the admissions process—essay guidance, narrative positioning, and interview preparation—so students feel supported and families feel confident that every part of the application is thoughtfully prepared.

A lot of people will tell you that college admissions is solely a numbers game. That's a lie - and I'm the proof. I came from a working-class background and navigated college admissions without the help of guidance counselors and got into elite colleges. I've helped many soon-to-be-college grads do the same. Here's the insight: what colleges want to know is whether or not you are smart, thoughtful, ambitious, and if you'll fit into their school's mold. Those usually sound like: High GPA, High LSAT, and a ton of extracurricular activities that pad your college resume. But not everybody has those items -- and not everyone needs them to get into great schools. That’s where I come in. I specialize in helping students identify the 'hidden assets' in their background: the grit, the unique perspective, and the authentic voice that standardized tests simply can’t capture. Together, we will craft a narrative that proves you aren’t just another applicant with good grades, but a future leader who adds distinct value to their campus.
