As a Senior Educational Consultant at Open Admits, I have helped over 1000 students and families develop strategic academic plans and personalized advising to maximize their potential for success at selective universities. Even though I attended a high school recognized as a college preparatory school, I found it difficult to find access to college counselors, SAT and ACT prep, and information about private institutions outside of the state. Moreover, during my college application cycle, my college counselor highly suggested I keep his college search within a more “reasonable” scope. I spent countless weeks and hours crafting my applications and was accepted into 14 of the 18 universities I applied to. I was the first in his high school to attend Stanford. Thus, I am passionate about guiding students and parents through this process to ensure their success! My greatest strengths as a coach include helping candidates develop and execute a project plan and timeline, identify a list of schools tiered for maximum success and admission reassurance, and highlight their strengths and voice in their essays. Additionally, I am highly skilled in interview preparation, helping students curate a stellar resume, and tailoring essays to fit the expectations for each desirable school choice.

I graduated from Yale University as a Global Affairs major, magna cum laude, and have an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where I was an Arjay Miller Scholar in the top 10% of the class. My background includes serving as Co-President of Women in Management at Stanford, where I supported women-focused admissions programming, and as an alumni interviewer for Yale University. With experience in private equity and leadership roles at Morgan Stanley, I have a deep understanding of what top undergraduate programs, business schools, and companies seek. I've supported coaching clients in crafting compelling applications and navigating the competitive admissions process. Hi, I'm Alice! I have extensive experience both writing and editing essays and working one-on-one with students as a mentor and in college prep, and would love to help you on your journey preparing your college application. In 2019, I graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and minors in Journalism and Humanistic Studies. My thesis, which was part philosophy and part journalism, was awarded the McCosh Prize for the best undergraduate thesis in any area of philosophy. At Princeton, I did extensive audio journalism, reporting, and art, including illustration and design for the weekly newspaper. I'm now working part-time towards my Master of Public Administration in Sustainability at Middlebury Institute of International Studies. Since graduating, I've lived in both Chicago and New York to work in impact, housing, and community development finance, and spent two years with Crimson Education to help students find a balanced spread of extracurricular activities, create leadership projects, and pursue reading and enrichment studies to suit their particular academic interests. I also serve as a mentor for recent Princeton graduates and current students working in public service, and each year, I interview high school students applying to Princeton as a volunteer for the Alumni Schools Committee. I love working one-on-one with students to help them find and pursue their passions, and I'm skilled at helping others find the narrative thread in their story. With six years of hands-on experience as a BYU admissions application reader and admissions counselor, I bring insider knowledge of what truly makes an application great. At Berkeley, I’ve excelled academically graduating Summa Cum Laude while actively engaging in leadership roles, such as Debate Captain, Vice President of an exclusive tech consulting club, and Student Government Director, where I’ve mentored peers, coordinated scholarship funds, and fostered inclusivity. As an immigrant to the US educated entirely in the public education system, I independently navigated the application and admissions processes for American undergraduate programs (without any coaching!) I applied to twenty universities (Public & Private) and succeeded in being admitted nearly everywhere I applied, including several Ivy League colleges like Brown, Dartmouth, Yale, as well as Stanford. While I was applying to colleges, I was also applying to many scholarships offered by universities and external scholarships, before ultimately deciding to attend Vanderbilt University, where I received a full merit scholarship. During my time at Vanderbilt, I applied to and received various additional scholarships to fund study abroad and international work experiences, including a FLAS fellowship and the Fulbright program (which I declined due to an offer to join the UN). As a magna cum laude graduate from Brown University and a current J.D. candidate at Stanford Law School, I bring a wealth of academic excellence and leadership experience to my coaching. My background includes serving as editor-in-chief of the Brown Journal of World Affairs and holding editorial roles in prestigious law journals at Stanford. I have a deep understanding of what top universities seek in applicants and am passionate about helping students craft compelling applications that highlight their unique strengths.

I was accepted into two Ivy League universities (Yale and Harvard) as well as other top-tier colleges. I also graduated as a salutatorian at my high school out of a class of 700+ students. I love the process of writing and tailoring each student's unique life experiences and personality to the style of questions asked in college applications.

I have experience studying at five universities in 4 European countries during my BA. My alma mater is Bard College Berlin, which has offered me full university funding. Therefore, I am well-acquainted with the college admission procedures.
