About Samar

With over 20 years in higher education, including 15 years at Stanford University supporting prospective and current graduate students in Electrical Engineering, the Biosciences, and the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at the Graduate School of Business, I bring deep experience guiding students through graduate admissions process and grad school. I work with students from diverse domestic and international backgrounds, including first-generation, DACA, and non-traditional students, and help each individual reach their full potential, regardless of their background. I also have 7+ years of experience working with high school students applying to both STEM and Humanities undergraduate programs. Students I’ve supported have gained admission to highly selective universities, including UCLA, UC Berkeley, Stanford University, Northeastern, the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Swarthmore, and other competitive institutions for both undergraduate and graduate programs. Additionally, many students I’ve worked with have pursued interdisciplinary interests, and I help them demonstrate how their diverse experiences and interests fit together into a narrative that feels authentic and impactful. -- My approach is highly personalized.
