I graduated with two bachelor's degrees from an Ivy League university (the University of Pennsylvania's Huntsman Program in International Studies and Business), and have served as an alumni interviewer ever since. I can help you with the college application process - anything from positioning your profile to tips and tricks on essay writing to narrowing down which school you'd like to attend. Also, I am trilingual - I'm a native English speaker originally from the United States, but I have lived and worked in Mexico and Brazil and am happy to help out in English, Spanish, or Portuguese. Getting accepted to a top university was my dream growing up, so when after being accepted to all the UCs, and eventually attending UC Berkeley, I knew I wanted to help others reach their higher education dreams as well. Since high school, I've taken opportunities to tutor and mentor others and even when I started my career in entertainment, I was an academic tutor, helping students with their grades, test prep, and college applications. With SAT scores and college acceptance becoming increasingly competitive it's important while applying to be confident in oneself and communicate a story that stands out. This is my skill. As a mentor and tutor, my goal has always been to support my students beyond just academics. I work with my students on building sustainable life skills that boosts their confidence and helps them "unpack" their story. Then, as a coach, I help my students with communicating their story, knowing in particular what schools are looking for. I've thoroughly enjoyed helping my clients reach their academic goals and more importantly, build their confidence so they can succeed in all endeavors.

Welcome! I help high school students navigate the college application process with clarity and confidence. I graduated from the University of Michigan in 2023 and began my career at Cisco, where I worked closely with interns and new team members as they figured out their strengths, interests, and next steps. After spending time in the workforce, I realized I wanted a more people-focused path and decided to make a thoughtful pivot. I’m now preparing to begin a graduate program in Occupational Therapy at Columbia University this fall. Going through that transition gave me a firsthand understanding of how much pressure students feel to “get it right,” and how important it is to remember that college is a starting point, not a final decision. Through my work with interns, along with volunteer experience supporting children and families, I’ve developed a practical, supportive approach to guidance. I focus on helping students break the application process into manageable pieces, clearly communicate who they are, and make choices that feel informed and confident. My goal is to make this process less overwhelming and more productive. I want students to feel supported, understood, and prepared to take their next step — wherever it leads.

I am a recent graduate of Durham University (Geography), finishing 4th in my year with a First Class (78), and I went on to complete a Master’s at the University of Cambridge, graduating 11th in my year with a Distinction (76). I graduated from the University of Oxford with First Class Honours in English Language and Literature— the highest academic distinction in the UK system. While at Oxford, I tutored part-time, and I now work as a freelance tutor with students across both the UK and the US. For bright American students, the most prestigious UK universities—Oxford, Cambridge, St Andrews, Edinburgh, Durham, UCL—deserve serious consideration. Yet the application process often feels mystifying from a US perspective. UK admissions place a premium on subject focus: the personal statement is academic and concise, and applicants are judged almost entirely on subject-specific potential. This means that many students who may feel lost in the highly extracurricular-driven US system could in fact be very strong candidates for top UK universities. However, expert, UK-specific guidance remains hard to find in the US, particularly for Oxbridge. My role is to demystify this process and provide clear, no-nonsense support, from personal statement coaching to interview preparation and application strategy. I know what works! My specialism is in English, but I have also guided students successfully through personal statements and interview preparation for a range of humanities subjects, from History and Politics to Philosophy and Classics. Going to the Air Force Academy was the best decision of my life. Because I went to school there, I earned my master's degree from Harvard (for free), got a job at one of the best places to work (Bain), and even met my wife. After it gave me so much, I wanted to give back to the Academy by serving as an admissions support officer. In this position, I mentored and evaluated 5 applicants, learning exactly what Service Academies look for in potential candidates. The application process is complex and intimidating, but, I'm ready to support you at every step. Service Academies aren't for everyone, but they are truly life-changing. I worked directly with 50 scholars from under-resourced backgrounds to support their college application process through identifying goals, advising scholars through the application and financial aid process, discussing needs and wants in their institutions, and distilling a list of institutions that provide a good “fit” to which they should apply. 98% of students were admitted to a “most competitive college” as identified by Barron’s. 69% were admitted to at least one Ivy League institution, MIT, or Stanford.
