I'm currently a Stanford MBA (where I'm the Student Body Co-President), and have 5+years of college admissions coaching experience. Before GSB, I spent time as a teacher (focusing on essay writing and story telling) and as a management consultant. Over the years working in admissions consulting, I have helped students based in the US, Hong Kong, China, and Singapore successfully apply to school. I'm here to help you create a stellar MBA application that can launch you into a top program in a way that tells your authentic story. As a coach, I bring a structured, honest, and tailored approach to the application process. Beyond my teaching experience, I also have a BA in Economics, Psychology, and Creative Writing from Northwestern University through which I learned how to help people navigate their truest stories. I'm particularly experienced at helping prospective MBAs figure out how the MBA would play into their larger goals as people and as professionals. I graduated with two bachelor's degrees from an Ivy League university (the University of Pennsylvania's Huntsman Program in International Studies and Business), and have served as an alumni interviewer ever since. I’m a graduate of Middlebury College, where I studied Economics and Philosophy and graduated magna cum laude. Since then, I’ve built a career in private equity, with previous experience in consulting at L.E.K. and investing at Cambridge Associates and Summit Partners. I graduated from the University of Oxford with First Class Honours in English Language and Literature— the highest academic distinction in the UK system. While at Oxford, I tutored part-time, and I now work as a freelance tutor with students across both the UK and the US. For bright American students, the most prestigious UK universities—Oxford, Cambridge, St Andrews, Edinburgh, Durham, UCL—deserve serious consideration. Yet the application process often feels mystifying from a US perspective. UK admissions place a premium on subject focus: the personal statement is academic and concise, and applicants are judged almost entirely on subject-specific potential. This means that many students who may feel lost in the highly extracurricular-driven US system could in fact be very strong candidates for top UK universities. However, expert, UK-specific guidance remains hard to find in the US, particularly for Oxbridge. My role is to demystify this process and provide clear, no-nonsense support, from personal statement coaching to interview preparation and application strategy. I know what works! My specialism is in English, but I have also guided students successfully through personal statements and interview preparation for a range of humanities subjects, from History and Politics to Philosophy and Classics. I’m a BYU graduate who helps students apply to BYU and prepare for undergraduate majors in the BYU Marriott School of Business. Having gone through the process myself as a marketing major, I work with students to figure out what really sets them apart and put that into words in a way that feels honest and true to them.
