With a robust background in finance and management from the University of Iowa, I have honed my expertise in venture capital and private equity through diverse roles at top firms like Morgan Stanley and W.L. Ross. As a Growth Equity Investor at Morgan Stanley, I focus on Series A+ investments in Technology, Consumer, and Healthcare sectors. My entrepreneurial journey includes founding Jasper, a VC-backed fintech platform, which has given me firsthand experience in scaling startups. I'm a current VC investor with prior experience at another venture fund as well as Goldman Sachs. I am passionate about helping others break into VC without IB experience. I also love helping give pre-seed and seed stage founders feedback on their businesses or pitch decks. I also lead the Chicago Chapter of the Emerging Venture Capitalists Association, the largest venture capital organization in the country supporting pre-partner investors. Prior to spending nearly 2.5 years in venture capital, I worked in the asset management division at Goldman Sachs. My experience at Goldman Sachs, combining deep public market expertise with strong sales skills, has provided me with a distinct advantage in identifying and supporting high-potential investment opportunities within the venture market. A bit more background on myself: I graduated early from Northwestern University with a degree in Economics, along with a certificate in Integrated Marketing Communications and a Religious Studies minor. Outside of work, I sit on several Chicago-based junior boards.

I broke into venture capital post investment banking at Goldman Sachs. I understand the criteria that VCs use to evaluate associates and I understand how to perform well in the job.

I spent the last few years exploring how to pivot into VC particularly since the market took a turn. Ultimately, I was able to get an offer from my top choice dream fund. Through this process, I've seen how the experience differs across fund types, and can help think through what kinds of funds you're interested in, and how to target your efforts to secure an offer.

With over a decade of experience in the VC industry, I've had the privilege of partnering with and supporting over 30 companies as a board member and investor. As a former Partner at Lerer Hippeau, I led investments in both enterprise and consumer companies, and currently, I advise and invest across the startup ecosystem. My background includes roles at top firms like FirstMark Capital and Flybridge Capital Partners, where I honed my skills in sourcing, diligence, and portfolio support. I've coached 20+ individuals, helping them navigate the complexities of venture capital recruiting and career.
