I am currently an MBA candidate at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and earned my Bachelor of Business Administration with highest honors from the Red McCombs School of Business at UT Austin. Professionally, I’ve worked across investment banking, private equity, and strategic finance, partnering with founders, corporate boards, and institutional investors to shape business narratives and navigate complex strategic decisions. I approach admissions the same way investors evaluate opportunities: through leadership, judgment, trajectory — and, most importantly, fit. The strongest applications show not only why you want a school, but why that specific school is positioned to accelerate your goals. I particularly enjoy working with applicants pursuing careers in business or finance, though I help candidates across backgrounds move beyond resume bullets and develop thoughtful, authentic stories about motivation and impact. My focus isn’t just essay polishing; it’s helping you articulate a narrative that explains your past, shows intentionality in the present, and convincingly points to your future — all while remaining true to who you are. I am a great MBA coach because of the unique process and framework I developed and followed to obtain admission to multiple top 10 MBA programs. I come from a low-income first generation immigrant and college student background. I have experienced first hand what it's like to undergo the application process as an underdog by multiple measures and emerge victorious. In addition, I have a passion for passing on the torch to the next generation and pulling folks up as I climb. In my free time I coach/mentor multiple students and professionals that share my background and have repeatedly heard from them that my advice, clear communication, and encouragement was instrumental in helping them achieve their academic and career goals. Subham Kedia is a venture investor at Hilti Venture, the corporate venture arm of the Hilti Group, where he focuses on investing in technologies transforming the built environment, including AI, robotics, and construction software. Prior to Hilti, he worked across strategy, private equity, and industrial technology at McKinsey & Company, Thoma Bravo, NCR Voyix, Alliance Technical Group, and Capsol Technologies, gaining experience across both operating and investing environments. Subham holds an MBA from The Wharton School, where he pursued a triple major in Finance, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, and Management. During his time at Wharton, he served as a Teaching Assistant for several business courses, co-founded Alokya — a venture recognized with awards from the Penn Wharton Innovation Fund — and actively mentored founders and fellow students. Beyond his professional work, Subham mentors early-stage AI founders at Outside the Box Ventures and has coached MBA applicants through the admissions process, helping them craft compelling narratives, refine essays, and prepare for interviews. He also holds an MS from Columbia University and a BS from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. Subham works with applicants to develop clear positioning, sharpen their stories, and navigate the highly competitive MBA admissions process.

My qualifications here come from sitting on both sides of the MBA experience. I earned my own MBA from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business, starting the program in person and finishing online in 2015, when online graduate education was still relatively new. Combined with my other graduate degrees at Northwestern Medill, Harvard, and UIC, I have a real feel for how different learning formats work and what admissions committees across top programs tend to value. I scored well on the GMAT, I understand how applications are actually read, and over the years, I have written dozens of letters of recommendation for applicants. Nearly every one of them has landed at a top program, including schools like Harvard and Columbia. What I bring that many admissions coaches do not is practical business experience. I have founded multiple successful companies, including RevEng Consulting, and have spent more than 20 years in the business world at companies like SAP and LinkedIn. That lets me help applicants move past generic, theoretical essays and build specific, credible stories that resonate with admissions committees. RevEng also regularly hosts MBA interns, most recently a group from the University of Michigan in 2025, so I stay close to what current programs teach and how students are evaluated.

I’m a CPA and a Tax Manager at Deloitte. I’m on Leland because I know what it’s like to feel "pigeonholed" in a highly technical, niche role while eyeing a top-tier MBA. I successfully pivoted from Big 4 Tax to securing Full-Ride Scholarships at both Chicago Booth and Northwestern Kellogg, along with admission and scholarship offers from MIT Sloan, Columbia (CBS), Yale SOM, Duke Fuqua, Dartmouth Tuck and NYU Stern. After six years as an Air Force officer, including combat deployments with JSOC, leading 200-person intelligence teams, and managing a $300M DoD cybersecurity program, I'm heading to Wharton this fall and went through the MBA application process as recently as last cycle.
