Coaches professionally
Kelsey has helped clients get into these schools:
I applied to six MBA programs and was accepted to all six, earning scholarships from every school for a total of roughly $750,000 in offers — an outcome that came from deeply understanding what each program values and how to position yourself compellingly. My own journey included raising my GMAT from a 670 to a 760 across multiple attempts, which gave me firsthand experience navigating setbacks and refining strategy under pressure. Beyond my own applications, I've spent two years as an official Ross interviewer and have partnered with Forté to lead multiple workshops on interview prep and maximizing your MBA experience. I've also worked one-on-one with 10+ applicants on everything from school selection and decision-making to essays, resumes, and mock interviews. Whether you are just starting to explore programs or putting the finishing touches on your application, I bring both the insider perspective and the track record to help you put your best foot forward.

About Kelsey
I started college convinced I was going to be a doctor until I realized I was a lot more interested in the systems around healthcare than the science behind it. That pivot led me to healthcare consulting, then to Ross for my MBA, where I went in looking for strategic depth, leadership reps, and the chance to think beyond healthcare, and came out ready to thrive at BCG with a much sharper sense of what I'm capable of. A lifelong curiosity has followed me throughout; as a kid I asked "why" so relentlessly that the adults around me were genuinely exhausted, and that hunger to understand has never really left. I bring it to my work, my career, and to every person I coach: getting into your story, finding your "why," and figuring out how to tell it in a way that actually lands. I believe the best coaching starts with understanding someone as a whole person, not just a résumé or a case answer. I navigated my own MBA process with an undiagnosed ADHD diagnosis and a GPA that didn't tell the full story, and figuring out how to frame that honestly and powerfully changed everything for me. If something in your background feels complicated or hard to explain, that's exactly where I love to dig in. I'm a California girl living in Chicago, where the weather is a daily exercise in acceptance, but the city has genuinely won me over. Sports are a big part of my life - UCLA women's basketball, volleyball, and gymnastics; Michigan football; the 49ers - I'm drawn to the thrill of competition and the camaraderie that comes with it. I love cooking ambitious meals and hosting dinners, where watching friends from different parts of my life find each other became the best part. I've visited 40+ countries across six continents, am rarely more than ten feet from my dog Hazel, and recently turned a board game I invented as a ten-year-old into a vibe-coded online game. Creative projects, learning something new every day, and saying yes to things I haven't tried yet - these are what fuel me.
Why do I coach?
I wouldn't be where I am without people who stepped up for me when they didn't have to. Early on I heard the idea that when you achieve something, you can either shut the door behind you or reach back and pull the next person through — and I've never questioned which one I wanted to be. I was a sports editor in high school and college, and some of my favorite memories are watching newer writers find their voice and grow into real journalists in front of me. The moment something finally clicks for someone? That feeling never gets old. That love deepened at my first job, where leading a team taught me that the best leadership is empathetic leadership focused on understanding what each person needs and adapting to meet them there. It deepened again through my own MBA and consulting recruiting journeys, which I couldn't have navigated without both formal and informal coaching. My own MBA admissions coach helped me figure out how to tell a complicated story — not to make excuses, but to reframe it as evidence of resilience and growth. Peer coaching at Ross, walking students through the full consulting recruiting curriculum, and watching them go from uncertain to genuinely ready was the most rewarding work I did in two years. I love the craft: the puzzle of a good case, the creativity of a strong behavioral story, helping someone walk into a room and be exactly themselves instead of who they think they're supposed to be. Let's work on it together.
