I received coaching during my own application process, and it completely changed how I viewed my story. Coming from NGOs, academia, and geopolitical consulting, I initially worried my background didn't fit the MBA mold. Since I realized that a thing like a deferred MBA program existed the February of my senior year, I had only 2 months to complete my deferred MBA applications and get a test score. Despite this setback and going into this process alone, I was able to have a successful outcome which I believe was driven through my application essays and interviews.
