I got into Stanford GSB's deferred MBA program and have helped hundreds of college students navigate similar paths through founding HeadStart Fellowship. Over the past few years, I've coached students who've landed deferred admits at top programs, including another Stanford GSB acceptance. My approach is straightforward: I know what works because I just went through it. I understand the entire process from GMAT prep and essay strategy to school selection and career positioning. Having worked in private equity and now building my own company, I get both the traditional finance path and the entrepreneurship route that many deferred programs value. I am 1/30 deferred admits to the Stanford MBA class of 2028. I applied as a senior in college, and have not only coached many peers on their own MBA admissions process, but I've frequently hosted events with Stanford MBA students in New York City. I have also served on the scholarship admissions counsel at USC, where I attended as a full-tuition merit scholar, as well as a campus recruiting lead for McKinsey & Company while I was a Business Analyst there. My specialty lies in authentic storytelling, and I excel at coaching students on how to write their personal statement, resume, application strategy for recommendation letters, and any other supplementary essays/materials. I use personality science and behavioral health best practices to help my students thoroughly enjoy the process of applying, and also utilize AI to design custom training plans and educational resources for the more mechanical parts of the application process, including test taking. Hi, my name is Anna and I am a recent graduate of Harvard Business School (MBA '25). During my time at HBS, I was the co-VP of Admissions for the Latino American Student Organization, working hand-in-hand with the HBS admissions team to foster events and outreach. I came to HBS with over 5+years of investment banking experience at Citi and spent my MBA summer as a consultant at Boston Consulting Group (BCG). In addition to HBS, I received admittance and over $750k+ in scholarships to Wharton, Chicago Booth, Yale SOM, and Fuqua.

As an alum of Harvard Business and Kennedy Schools, I navigated multiple graduate degree admissions processes. I’ve worked with candidates who have successfully applied to Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, MIT, and other top MBA programs. I started my career at Bain & Company and then worked in tech (biz ops and growth) before grad school. I have been closely involved in civic and public service opportunities including working at the US Treasury and serving as a State Delegate prior to school. While in my three-year MPP and MBA program, I worked in Venture Capital and Growth Equity investing at Norwest Venture Partners, Floodgate Ventures, and Summit Partners. I now run Growth Strategy @ Carta, a $7B tech co in Silicon Valley. I coach in my spare time because I love helping candidates distill their stories and present the best version of themselves to adcoms! When I applied, my partner was also interested in an MBA -- we wanted to maximize our chances of living in the same city during school, which led us to deeply research and contact admissions and alumni at all top 7 MBA programs to ensure we understood how we would be evaluated. After hundreds of hours of research myself, there is nothing I love more than being able to share that knowledge strategically & concisely with applicants. I particularly enjoy working with dual-degree candidates, candidates with public/non-profit sector experience and candidates interested in emerging tech and Venture Capital.
