Simi has helped clients get into these schools:
I've spent the last 16+ years helping ambitious applicants get into the world's most competitive MBA programs, including Harvard, Stanford, Columbia, MIT Sloan, Yale SOM, and Booth. Across 200+ MBA clients, 95% have been admitted to at least one of their top-choice programs, and over half have received scholarship money. I graduated from NYU Summa Cum Laude with a double major in Economics and English, and earned my MBA from Columbia Business School in 2020, where I focused on Strategy and Entrepreneurship. That gives me a current, first-hand perspective on what M7 adcoms are actually looking for. My career in this work started in Singapore, at a test prep and admissions firm I helped expand into Shanghai, running tutoring and admissions consulting in both markets before coming back to New York to found my own practice. That international background means I'm equally comfortable working with US candidates and applicants from Asia, Europe, and beyond, particularly the kinds of candidates who often have the strongest stories but the hardest time articulating them: finance professionals reinventing themselves, engineers making a pivot, non-traditional career switchers. My work focuses on coherence. Most applicants arrive with strong but scattered material: a real career, real accomplishments, but no through-line. My job is to help you find the narrative that ties it all together, build a school list that's strategic (not aspirational), and turn essays into the strongest part of your application instead of the most stressful. If you want a structured, results-focused partner, let's talk.

About Simi
I work with students aiming for top outcomes: a 1400+ SAT, a 700+ GMAT, or admission to highly selective colleges and MBA programs. Over 16+ years and 3,000+ students across six continents, I've built a practice around one idea: most students don't need more work, they need the right work, structured the right way. On the testing side, my students average 200+ point gains on the SAT and 100+ on the GMAT. This is driven by pattern recognition, test strategy, and disciplined execution rather than brute-force practice. On the admissions side, my work is about coherence. Smart students often arrive with strong but scattered pieces: academics, extracurriculars, a story they haven't fully figured out. My job is to help them put it all together: a sharp narrative, a strategic school list, and essays that actually sound like them. 95%+ of my students are admitted to at least one of their top-choice schools, including Harvard, Stanford, Yale, Columbia, MIT, UChicago, NYU, and UCLA. I graduated from NYU and earned my MBA from Columbia Business School, which gives me a current, first-hand perspective on both undergraduate and MBA admissions. If you want a structured, strategic partner, not generic advice, let's talk.
Why do I coach?
Growing up in New York, my father taught me that studying is a craft: structured, intentional, and learnable by anyone willing to commit to the process. That mindset shaped how I learned, how I tested, and how I teach. It's also a skill that pays dividends long after any exam or application is behind you. After graduating from NYU, I moved to Singapore to work for a start-up test prep company, where I fell in love with the work and the impact it had on students. That passion brought me back to New York, where I founded Global Scholars, built a career across education and business, and earned my MBA at Columbia Business School. Sixteen years and 3,000+ students later, I've worked with applicants across six continents - from New York to Sydney, London to Tokyo. What drives me is simple: watching students achieve results beyond what they thought possible, and seeing how that changes their confidence and trajectory long after our work together ends.
