My journey in education has equipped me with a unique blend of experiences, making me an ideal MBA admissions coach. From pioneering test prep and admissions consulting processes in Singapore and Shanghai to establishing Global Scholars Institute in New York (my own test-prep and admissions consultancy), I've developed a deep understanding of the admissions landscape both domestically and internationally. My work has directly impacted students from diverse backgrounds, helping them gain admission to prestigious programs like Harvard Business School, Columbia Business School, Yale Business School, MIT, and many others. As a graduate of New York University and Columbia Business School, I've navigated the rigorous demands of competitive academic environments firsthand, translating these insights into actionable strategies for my clients. What sets me apart is not just my academic and professional background, but my personalized approach to coaching. I believe in tailoring my strategies to the unique stories and aspirations of each student, focusing on crafting compelling narratives that highlight their strengths and potential. My global perspective, combined with an intimate understanding of the nuances of MBA admissions, allows me to guide clients through the complex process with confidence and clarity. Partnering with me means gaining an advisor who's committed to your success, leveraging every piece of my experience to help you articulate your vision and achieve your MBA aspirations.

About Simi
I work with students and applicants who are aiming for top-tier outcomes, whether that’s a 1400+ SAT score, a 700+ GMAT, or admission into highly selective colleges and MBA programs. Over the past 15+ years, I’ve helped students navigate both standardized testing and admissions strategy with a focus on structure, efficiency, and results. My approach is not about doing more, it’s about doing the right things in the right way. On the testing side, my students regularly see significant score improvements, often increasing 100–200+ points by focusing on pattern recognition, test strategy, and disciplined execution rather than brute-force practice. On the admissions side, I work closely with students to build a cohesive and compelling narrative across their entire application, from profile development to essays and positioning. My students have gone on to schools such as Harvard, Stanford, Yale, Columbia, MIT, UChicago, NYU, UCLA, and others. I graduated from NYU and earned my MBA from Columbia Business School, which gives me a direct and current perspective on both undergraduate and MBA admissions. If you’re looking for a structured, strategic approach, and not just more generic advice, I’d be happy to help.
Why do I coach?
Coaching is not just a profession for me; it's a personal calling. My passion for coaching ignited during my own academic journey, where mentors played a crucial role in guiding me through the complexities of higher education and beyond. Their influence was not merely academic; they taught me the value of perspective, the importance of resilience, and the art of strategic thinking—lessons that have been indispensable not only in my education at NYU and Columbia Business School but also throughout my career. The turning point came during my tenure in Singapore, where I witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by students navigating the global admissions landscape. It was here, amidst the diverse ambitions and backgrounds of these students, that I realized the profound impact personalized guidance can have. This realization was further cemented when I founded my own test prep and admissions consultancy in New York. Helping students from various educational backgrounds bridge the gap to U.S. standardized tests and admissions processes was not just about improving scores; it was about empowering them to see beyond the immediate hurdles, to envision and articulate their unique stories, and to approach their ambitions with confidence. What drives me as a coach is the belief that everyone has the potential to achieve their dreams, provided they receive the right support and guidance. The joy of seeing a student gain admission to their dream school, especially after overcoming obstacles or self-doubt, is indescribably rewarding. It reaffirms my commitment to coaching and the difference it can make in a student's life. I coach because I have lived through the transformative power of dedicated mentorship. I coach because I want to be that guiding force for others, helping them navigate their path to success, just as my mentors did for me. In every student's journey, I see a reflection of my own, and it's a privilege to be part of their story, helping them unlock doors to new beginnings and opportunities.
