I was admitted to 17 Top-20 undergraduate institutions and went on to attend the University of Pennsylvania as a dual-degree student across the College of Arts and Sciences and Wharton. My own admissions journey gave me firsthand insight into what top schools look for and how to build an application that is not only impressive, but also cohesive, authentic, and memorable. Beyond my personal experience, I founded Liyue Consulting, where I’ve helped 100+ students gain admission to their dream colleges. Through that work, I’ve developed deep experience in activity planning, essay review, school selection, and interview preparation. I understand that strong college applications are not built at the last minute; they come from thoughtful positioning, clear storytelling, and a strategy tailored to each student’s strengths and goals. Welcome to my profile! I graduated from Cornell University and am an incoming law student at the University of Chicago Law. I was also admitted to Columbia Business School as a deferred applicant. I bring a unique perspective to college admissions coaching. My academic journey, marked by a 4.193 GPA and recognition such as Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude, has equipped me with the skills to guide students through the complexities of the application processes. Having coached dozens of students, I am passionate about helping students craft compelling applications that highlight their strengths and unique stories.

I was admitted Early Decision to Duke University and also received the Regents Scholarship to every UC school I applied to (including Berkeley and UCLA). I had a 4.0 unweighted GPA in high school and a 4.0 GPA at Duke University, where I graduated summa cum laude with degrees in Classics and Computer Science. While I have been told I am a skilled writer, more importantly, I promise I can help you be a skilled writer as well, even if you aren't already. Writing doesn't come naturally to me, but after majoring in the classics and participating in academic debate, I have an excellent understanding of what makes writing persuasive and memorable—something I will help you apply to your college essays. GPA and extracurricular activities are important (and I will give you detailed and comprehensive advice on maximizing both of these aspects), but I guarantee that every student I coach will have not just excellent stats, but also a well-rounded application that will turn heads at any school.

I graduated from Brown University in 2020 magma cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science, with honors; I am also a member of the Pi Sigma Alpha honors society. I applied early decision to Brown in 2016, and was accepted. I received the Philo Sherman Bennet Thesis Prize for my published research entitled “Capturing the White Women Vote: An Analysis of Characteristic Determinants and Political Messaging." I was a research assistant for Professor Wendy Schiller and published two pieces with her: Cambridge University Press, Inequality Across State Lines: How Policymakers Have Failed Domestic Violence Victims in the United States (2023) and American Political Science Association: “Inequality in Human Security: Gun Ownership & Domestic Violence” (2018). I was the Interviews Director for the Brown Political Review and the Site Leader for Brown Elementary Afterschool Mentoring; through my volunteer work, I was awarded the Bonnor Community Fellowship.

After graduating with both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees, working for UNC Office of Undergraduate Admissions, and working as a College Admissions Consultant, I am well-versed in the world of college admissions. I've helped students with everything from choosing classes and extracurriculars, standardized test preparation, and school selections to editing their Common App Essay/personal statements, helping formulate their application, and interview preparation. I have additionally lived in four different countries and am very comfortable advising international students, as well as US students that hope to go to university abroad, specifically in the UK. Some schools my students have gotten into include: Northwestern, University of Washington, UNC Chapel Hill, Hofstra BS/MD program, Penn State Schreyer Honors College, Virginia Tech, and more.
