Hi! I’m Elana—a recent Vanderbilt grad with a degree in Computer Science and Philosophy. I know firsthand how overwhelming the college application process can feel. However, looking back, I know that this journey can be transformative, empowering, and even fun—with the right support. For over seven years, I’ve helped students unlock their potential, guiding them to top schools and dream jobs at places like BCG, Microsoft, Amazon, and other Big Tech companies. I'll be transparent: I was not the high school kid with a 4.0 GPA or a 36 on the ACT. While my grades were strong, they were far from perfect. Because I knew there were students with better academics than me, I mastered the college essay process "to a t." I only applied to BYU (would not recommend), and was delighted to be admitted with a full scholarship! I know what BYU is looking for when they choose which students to admit and which ones to deny. I also know from personal experience how to get admitted in front of a student with more impressive grades and credentials. Let me show you how!

I take a humanistic, there's a school/program-for-everyone approach to college coaching. I've previously worked in admissions at Ivy League schools and in student affairs. I've also I've coached students, from first-year's in high school to seniors that got into Penn, Cornel and MIT, to name a few. I care about getting to know you so that we can find schools that aren't just the "best programs," but the "right fit." Ultimately, if don't enjoy life outside the classroom, you're more likely to be miserable inside the classroom. I earned admission to Brown University with a likely letter, which reflects not only strong academics but also a well-rounded application that stood out among a competitive pool. In addition, I was awarded the Banneker/Key Scholarship at the University of Maryland — the school’s most prestigious full-ride merit scholarship given to only a small number of top applicants.
