I am a 2021 Wharton graduate, with 2 years of professional application coaching experience. During my MBA, I coached 15+ MBA students with career guidance, resume critiques, and interview prep. I first encountered coaching when I was applying to matriculate as an MBA in 2019. At that time, I realized how important an application coach could be, not only for the specialized toolset and knowledge base, but also for the encouragement during a high pressure application process. I am motivated to be that source of calm and focus during what can otherwise be a stressful application process. Dr. Nick J. Accrocco has been in college and university admissions for 20 years. After his time at Vanderbilt University as both an undergraduate and graduate student, he would go on to obtain an Ed.D from the University of Houston. He proudly calls Houston, Texas his adopted home. His admissions experiences include Vanderbilt University, the University of Pennsylvania in the Ivy League, and MBA admissions at American University. He has also worked 6 high school communities across the United States; serving as Director of College and University admissions at 2 of these institutions. Lastly, he teaches adult learners worldwide how to help students achieve admission at Houston, Texas based Rice University. Nick prides himself on being transparent, compassionate, and (hopefully) funny. He has gone through this process himself, so he seeks to bring clarity to what the process is and what it is not.

As a graduate of Harvard Business School and Columbia University, I bring a distinctive, well-rounded perspective to college admissions coaching. Throughout my own academic journey, I’ve had the privilege of working with top admissions advisors—first at Milton Academy, one of New England’s leading boarding schools, and later with an elite business school admissions coach. I’m excited to pass on the valuable insights I’ve gained from these experiences to help you navigate your own path. I’ve successfully guided students through the college application process, with three earning admission to their top-choice schools—including highly selective institutions like Wellesley (15% acceptance rate) and Pomona College (7% acceptance rate). These experiences have equipped me with the tools to help you craft a compelling and differentiated application. I'm Bryan, a University of Pennsylvania graduate with a double major in International Relations and Latin American & Latino Studies. As a first-generation Latino college graduate, I learned to navigate the college admissions process by myself and am passionate about helping others through this intimidating process. I have guided many mentees and peers through the college admissions process through reviewing college essays, giving guidance on test prep time management, crafting narrative as a prospective applicant, developing leadership skills, and preparing for admissions interviews. These students have been accepted to an array of colleges including UPenn, Stanford, Harvard, Drexel, and Claremont McKenna. As a coach, I believe a holistic approach across leadership skills, academic excellence, and character are critical to standing out in the competitive college admissions process. I take the time to understand where the student is in their admissions process to develop a baseline and collaborate to understand pain points in the process and curate a plan to best prepare for the college admissions process. After preparation I am here to assist as developments come up, providing guidance on selecting a school, how to navigate financial packages, and other stressful decisions in the process. The way we are taught to write in school is wrong. You know the style—boring, wordy, and utterly forgettable! It takes hours to write, and the end product is gray wallpaper, which lacks story and blends in to every other essay. That won't get you where you want to go...unless as an academic you're publishing in a scientific journal that no one will ever read. I am a highly trained writer. I graduated in PR/Journalism, was named #1 senior in Journalism, and was a writer for 2 years for PR and Marketing departments through school. My writing helped me secure scholarships, internships, and a job for one of the largest PR agencies in the world. I thought I knew how to write. I was wrong. Years later, I was Global Brand Manager at P&G leading a $2B brand. In this $85B company, multi-million dollar decisions were made based on written one-pagers. Clear and compelling writing was vital. They taught, "Writing = Thinking. If you can't write clearly, you haven't thought clearly." I learned how to write for impact and do it in a fraction of the time. Accepted to multiple top institutions and enrolled in University of Pennsylvania, where I graduated with 2 undergraduate degrees. Also coached international Chinese students looking to get into top US colleges / grad programs.
