I’m Ajay Kilambi, a Wharton student pursuing a B.S. in Finance and an M.S. in Bioengineering at the University of Pennsylvania. I’ve worked across private equity and investment banking, focusing on healthcare and life sciences, and have gone through the entire recruiting process myself — from networking and technical prep to closing offers. I know how competitive and confusing recruiting can feel, and my goal is to make it clear, structured, and achievable. After I graduated from Berkeley Haas, I spent two years as an investment banking analyst at Morgan Stanley before becoming a Private Equity Associate at The Carlyle Group. In my free time, I am a mentor for Women In Network, a non-profit organization founded to promote and encourage females in the professional world by fostering mentorships, expanding networks, and building communities. I have helped high school and college students with thinking through their future career by helping them with interview prep, talking through their interests / what they're looking for in a job, understanding the technical portions of a model / questions that would come up in an interview, and providing step-by-step guides to recruiting. I also taught 2 Berkeley Haas classes when I was a senior in college. I prepared materials for my classes, which were "Introduction to Investment Banking" and "Introduction to Buyside Financial Modelling".

I’m an investment banker with ~8 years of experience advising companies and sponsors on complex M&A, capital raises, and restructuring transactions across media, sports, consumer, and technology. I’ve worked at Citi, Three Ocean Partners, and currently LionTree, where I advise founders, executives, and investors on high-stakes transactions with real strategic and financial complexity. I also hold an MBA from Columbia Business School. I work with candidates not only on breaking into investment banking, but also on succeeding once they’re on the job. I help clients prepare for interviews, develop strong technical and deal discussion skills, and build confidence in financial modeling, valuation, and transaction structuring. For those already in seat, I also provide hands-on support with modeling, diligence, and thinking through how deals actually progress — from initial materials and outreach through execution and closing. My goal is to help clients think clearly, communicate crisply, and operate at a high level in real banking situations.

Over the last 15 years, I've helped hundreds of students from non-target schools land jobs at Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Evercore, Moelis, Citi, Barclays, UBS, Jefferies, Lazard, Guggenheim, Catalyst, Wells Fargo, and many, many more.

Successfully navigated Investment Banking Summer Analyst position and received a full time return offer. Held coffee chats with 100+ industry professionals. Taught investment banking technical and behavioral questions to Sophomores at Northeastern University.
