Hi, I'm Ali, a junior at Brown University studying Applied Mathematics–Economics (Mathematical Finance track with a focus on probabilistic modeling) and will be joining Goldman Sachs for Investment Banking this summer. I’ve spent the last two years mentoring students 1-on-1 through resume refinement, technical/behavioral prep, networking strategy, and superday preparation — helping them land offers at firms like Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, Jefferies, PWP, and Goldman Sachs. As VP of the Bruno Finance Society, I’ve helped lead campus-wide recruiting initiatives and have personally guided students through every stage of the process. I have over ten years of investment banking experience, spanning bulge bracket and boutique / middle market firms, such as JPMorgan, Blackstone (now PJT), and Lincoln International. I primarily worked on mergers & acquisitions, capital raises, and restructuring engagements. After banking, I co-founded two companies and raised nearly $40m in VC funding. I currently work with start-ups and high-growth companies as a fractional CFO or consultant. I have also led investment banking new hire training programs, as well as on-campus investment banking interview prep seminars, for the last 8 years.
