With three years as an investor on American Securities’ Investment Team, I bring a comprehensive understanding of the private equity recruiting process, including on-cycle and off-cycle interviews, and navigating headhunter relationships. At American Securities, I was promoted to Senior Associate after my second year and played a pivotal role in the due diligence of new investments and portfolio company management through add-on acquisition due diligence and general strategy support. In addition to my investment experience, I contributed significantly to recruiting efforts, including partnering with third-party organizations like SEO to advance diversity in the industry and directly interviewing / screening investment banking analysts.

I broke into private equity at 19, landed an investment banking job offer mid-flight, and joined KKR straight out of undergrad. Since then, I’ve led ~$3B in deals across buyout, growth, and venture, working directly with founders, CEOs, and billion-dollar funds. I know how to navigate high-stakes, prestige-driven environments without losing your edge. I’m especially passionate about helping non-target, underrepresented, and ambitious students shortcut the learning curve, land top roles, and carry themselves with both confidence and clarity. I worked at two generalist private equity firms focused on control investing in the middle market. I was able to successfully navigate the rigorous onboarding process each firm had - including a challenging case study under a time limit. During my experience in private equity, I was given the opportunity to invest in both domestic and international companies (US, UK, Romania) and had an average deal size of $100M. I enjoy helping clients navigate the PE recruiting cycle and strengthen their investment approach, technical capabilities, and nail their PE interviews. After my time in private equity, I was fortunate to attend HBS and can help clients differentiate if they are coming from a traditional background.

With hands-on experience working in Morgan Stanley’s Real Estate Private Equity group in New York City, I bring a deep understanding of what it takes to break into and excel in private equity. Across two summers and into my full-time role, I underwrote over 40 deals across multiple asset classes during a period of rapid market change, navigating rising interest rates, open-end fund redemption queues, and the resurgence of large-cap fundraising. After spending 3 years at McKinsey, I moved to the buyside as an Associate to join a $1B Mid-market fund in Boston called AVALT, formed by a collection of former Bain Capital partners. I was promoted to Senior Associate and then Vice President without needing to go to business school, and was an interviewer for intern, analyst, and associate candidates. AVALT is a "consultant-friendly" PE shop, so my coaching is best directed at those targeting funds like AVALT (e.g., Golden Gate, Bain Capital, Serent, HGGC) than it is for IB-heavy shops.

Prior to my career in private equity, I spent 5 years in investment banking with Goldman Sachs, as both an Associate and an Analyst, where I worked on $20B+ of closed deals. Currently, I am pursuing my MBA at Columbia Business School as a Robert F. Smith Scholar, further deepening my expertise in alternative investments and entrepreneurship. Over the last decade, I have coached 75+ students/early stage professionals across a variety of formal and informal capacities.
