Break Into Consulting |ex-Bain Partner/Recruiting Head, 2nd Rnd Interviewer
I'm a former Senior Partner and Head of Recruiting at Bain & Company. I was a second round interviewer across all core schools for years. And I was the Partner who led decisions on all candidate offers for new consultants and ACs. I've interviewed and made offers for hundreds of MBAs and undergrads for full time and summer positions. I also taught an "Introduction to Management Consulting" class at UC Irvine, a "non-core" school before that class, and a "core" school afterwards for the Los Angeles office. The class was basically my custom-made new consultant training - a hand-on, practical introduction to the job, structured to provide as close to a real "first case on the job" applied experience. I led students step-by-step through the process of conducting a strategic full potential diagnostic first-hand, researching companies of their choice and building out a future vision, recommended strategy, set of priority initiatives, change management roadmap. They created Board-ready presentations and delivered them in class, again receiving coaching for consultant-level communication effectiveness. In addition to teaching and immersing them in the new consultant tool-kit, I introduced them to the recruiting process and coached them on proactive, creative ways to get into the interviewing cycle. We practiced mock cases and many students successfully landed jobs at Bain and other top consultancies and strategy depts. Depending on where you are in your pursuit, I'm happy to provide support. If you've got final rounds this coming Monday, I'm happy to run a mock case with you and provide feedback. If you're a non-traditional candidate, or coming from a non-core school, and you're looking forward to submitting applications with the hope of an interview, I'm happy to work with you on a fuller break-in strategy. Some examples of things I can help with - as discrete individual sessions or as part of an ongoing coaching - guidance and feedback to best position resumes and cover letters to secure interviews, networking strategies, overview the core consulting toolkit (frameworks, analytical tools, etc) and communication skills, mock interviews and feedback, of course... And more broadly, and all along the way, I'm happy to experience share and/or provide insight into a "day in the life" and career trajectories. I'm passionate about this because I think it's really valuable for folks to understand the profession they're joining! I invite you to reach out in whatever way would be most helpful. If you're looking for a mock interview, it's very easy to set that up. You can block the time and forward your resume, and we'll treat that hour as a real deal Partner interviewing experience with feedback. Alternatively, if you're looking for a broader game plan, I've discounted a session that let's us build a strategy that gets you from where you are into the interviewing process and hopefully sailing to an offer. Sign up for which feels right to you. And message if you'd like to chat or if you don't see availability on my calendar. I want to be as accessible as possible. I look forward to working with you, in whatever capacity will be most helpful!$350/hr

Break into MBB | Ex-Bain Manager and Recruiter | 300+ Mock Interviews
Management consulting at a top-tier firm can supercharge your career, but getting in can be a daunting process, especially if you come from a non-traditional background. I'm here to help! Leveraging three years at Bain on the "other side" of recruiting, I provide coaching for the entire recruiting process, from networking strategy and resume reviews to case and behavioral interview prep. A little bit about me: I spent three years at Bain & Company as a consultant and manager, after graduating from Michigan Ross with my MBA. I was heavily involved in recruiting at Bain: I was an on-campus recruiter for Pride @ Bain nationally, conducted undergraduate (associate consultant) interviews, supervised interns across Bain's Summer Associate, BASE, and ADvantage programs, and authored an MBA interview case. I've conducted over 300 mock consulting case interviews during my time at Bain and Ross, and I've successfully coached several individuals in getting MBB offers, many from non-traditional backgrounds. Let's connect and chart your path to success in consulting!$185/hr

Ex-BCG PL; Top 10 Leland Consulting Coach with 200+ mentees at MBB and more
As an ex-BCG Project Leader and Interviewer, I'm intimately familiar with the consulting interview process, spanning from case to behavioral interviews. I was President of Consulting Prep for both Wharton's Consulting Club (MBA) and UT Austin's Consulting club (Undergrad), through which I've developed a "ground up" approach to building specific core consulting interview skills, then integrating them into a strong overall case interviewing muscle. My approach has garnered significant positive feedback and recognition, resulting in helping over 200 mentees achieve offers at top firms. For my efforts, I was awarded the Career Mentorship award at Wharton. I am fortunate to still have strong contact with many of my mentees, nearly all of whom have gone on great careers at McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Oliver Wyman, Deloitte, and Accenture (as well as other firms). Several of these mentees have gone on to achieve great post-consulting careers as well, ranging from Private Equity, to Tech Product Management, to Corporate Strategy I break down my feedback on each case interview into 5 areas, and give detailed, actionable feedback on each: Clarification, Frameworking, Quantitative Analysis, Qualitative Analysis, and Synthesis. This approach has been strongly validated by mentees and resulted in offers across all top firms. My foundations-first approach has led to being named a Leland Top 10 Management Consulting Coach in 2025, as well as a Top 50 coach across all disciplines in 2024.$299/hr

Top 10 Global | 1,000 candidates | 95% Success Rate | $2,556 FREE Materials
I passed all 8 consulting and tech interviews I sat during my MBA at NYU Stern, including BCG, where I went on to work as a consultant. I didn't stumble into that outcome. I prepared obsessively, analyzed what worked and what didn't, and built a system from the ground up. That system became Custom Case Coach. Since leaving BCG I've coached 1,000+ consulting candidates across every background, firm, and geography imaginable. I've trained consultants at Big 4 firms, run workshops at universities such as NYU Stern, Michigan Ross, Princeton, and Imperial College, and built a preparation program that has helped candidates land offers at McKinsey, BCG, Bain, and every major firm globally. My candidates achieve a 95% offer rate overall and a 67% MBB offer rate among those who reach MBB interviews - numbers that reflect one thing: I don't teach candidates to pass an interview, I teach them to think like a consultant.$399/hr

ex-Bain Interviewer | MBB Case Expert | 150+ Offers | Leland Top Coach
Why you should work with me: ◆ I was part of Bain's interview team and know exactly what it takes to break into MBBs (Bain, McKinsey, BCG) ◆ In the summer/fall 2025 cycle for undergrad and MBA hiring, my candidates landed the following offers: Bain (10), McKinsey (7), BCG (4), LEK (3), Kearney (1) ◆ I've coached for over 1,600 hours, have the most sessions run of any Management Consulting coach on Leland, and have helped candidates land 150+ offers at MBBs and similar firms ◆ I've developed a comprehensive coaching system built on targeted learning/drills for every case element (includes take-home resources and in-session drills) – which is far more effective than only running full cases, both in terms of the time it takes for candidates to come up the learning cure and the level to which they perform ◆ I work with candidates at every stage of the process – for some it's ~1-3 cases to polish before a final round, whereas for many it's a ~2-4 month fully-comprehensive partnership that covers all elements (networking, resume, cover letter, applications, interview prep, etc.) ◆ I'm 100% bought in on my clients' success – I love this work and put just as much of my heart into the process as my candidates do (and sometimes more 😀) Clients often report that I'm the coach who says what other coaches are unwilling to say – whether that's providing a fully transparent assessment of where they're falling short, addressing a lack of confidence, or correcting a tendency to use language that's overly forced and formal. I address whatever needs to be addressed to give my candidates the best chance of landing their dream job. My style is direct, honest, and deeply supportive! And I love to laugh too.$430/hr

Ex-McKinsey | Coached 50+ to MBB | McKinsey + PEI + MBB specialist
I have coached 75+ to consulting offers and 50+ to MBB during my time as a mentor at Wharton's consulting club and in my time coaching outside of bschool. I have extensive experience working with applicants currently in school (including non-target) and experienced hires. Consulting recruiting can seem daunting, but it’s surprisingly formulaic. While it’s not easy, I’m here to help make the process easier (and hopefully more fun) and maximize your chances at an offer. While I am an MBB specialist, I also have experience with the interview process of every other large consulting firm and a handful of boutiques, so happy to help with whatever firms you're targeting. Feel free to ask questions or request any type of help, but these are usually the 3 areas I spend my time coaching: 1. Acing the case interview (strategy is generalizable across firms--areas of prep are case starts, frameworking, brainstorming, case math, case flow, recommendations, etc.). This is 75% of my consulting coaching and I've been coaching it for thousands of hours since 2020. 2. Impressing in the behavioral (very firm specific--McKinsey's PEI is the most infamous and I'm a specialist at this). On my McKinsey interviews, I got glowing praise for showing both emotional intelligence and strongly developed stories on my PEIs. 3. Landing an interview (networking, getting referrals, getting on the firm's radar). Whether you're an experienced hire or applying from school, this process is crucial.$199/hr
