At Kearney, I led teams through complex transformations while honing my talent-spotting skills through recruiting efforts (turns out identifying great candidates isn’t so different from building high-performing consulting teams). And as a Wharton Admissions Fellow, I learned what really makes applications click (hint: it’s not just GMAT scores or fancy job titles). Prior to business school, I worked across product, operations, and finance roles at Amazon, Capital One, TD Bank, and high-growth startups, allowing me to coach candidates from nontraditional and international backgrounds with real-world context. Coming from a non-traditional background of public policy, I know how daunting it can be to apply to MBA programs. Prior to Wharton, I spent 5 years at the American Financial Services Association, where I advised consumer lending companies on state legislative and regulatory issues. I am also a disability inclusion advocate, serving on the board of a nonprofit called Full Spectrum Agency for Autistic adults. I am also the President of Wharton's Disability Empowerment & Action League. Before becoming a Leland coach, I have coached prospective students, helping them navigate the competitive MBA admissions process. Annie is an experienced and passionate coach who uses the power of storytelling to inspire humanity and empower individual growth. She went through the deferred admissions process last year, and successfully crafted a strategic & holistic narrative despite having a sub-par GMAT score, received interviews with Stanford GSB, UPenn Wharton, and Chicago Booth programs, and received letters of recommendation from highly influential people such as the business school dean, a Partner at a Big 4 firm, and world-class faculty.
