Hi there! My name is George Lankas, Stanford GSB class of 2027. I was fortunate enough to receive acceptances to 3 top MBA programs (GSB, Wharton, and Tuck). I ran a tutoring company as a student at Georgetown University, where I helped classmates ace Econ classes and get past writer’s block on essay. I also offer career coaching – after transitioning from an IB oriented role to client facing Private Banking, I know how tricky the pivot can be! I’m passionate about helping people get into their dream MBA program or get their dream job – I want to be a partner and asset throughout your process to ensure you can make your goals become a reality.

I’m a Harvard Business School graduate who got in on sheer grit — no family connections, no employer sponsorship, and definitely no 760 GMAT. In fact, I took the test eight times and ended up with a 690. I wasn’t the obvious admit. I didn’t come from a mega fund. I wasn’t a check the box candidate. But I understood the formula — and once you understand how HBS and the GSB really make decisions, your chances of admission increase exponentially. There’s a strategy to this process that most applicants — and even many coaches — miss. I’ve lived it. I’ve helped others do it. And I only work with people who are truly serious about winning. This is not a volume game. It's about positioning, storytelling, and playing chess while everyone else is playing checkers. Everyone I've coached has landed a school in their top 3 choices, even if not their first choice. We stay in touch throughout the full cycle of their application, from GRE/GMAT to essay writing to (if applicable) interview prep. I've been coaching for 5 years now and have experience with fellow procrastinators, as well as people who plan out their lives on a vision board they made in middle school. All I ask is an optimistic attitude and the ability to utilize feedback to your advantage, as I firmly believe that without it, we're all looking at ourselves in funhouse mirrors!

I'm an experienced admissions consultant with almost a decade of expertise navigating elite admissions - for my own admissions processes for undergrad (Harvard) and full-time MBA (matriculated at Stanford GSB, additional acceptances to Wharton and many others). Outside of my own admissions successes, I've been a professional admissions consultant, beginning in 2016 with my work as an early hire at CollegeVine, one of the leading (undergrad) admissions consultancies in the US. I've formally consulted with, and informally mentored, countless students across both undergrad and grad school, with many acceptances to Ivies+. Regarding MBA admissions: I navigated my own admissions process with a relatively "nontraditional" background, coming from startups and, further back, self-employment. My view on admissions is one rooted in pragmatism and genuineness; let's dispense with some of the trite advice and focus on what your background offers, the story you have to tell, and why you actually want to go to business school. (And even whether you *should* go to business school! Navigating doubt is, in my opinion, an important part of this process as well.) Beyond admissions, I'm a successful startup operator - most recently as the exited COO of Impactive, a YCombinator-backed political software startup (acquired by ActBlue in 2025).
