About Tom
I started my career in an unexpected place: teaching a leadership course at the University of Michigan while I was still a student. What began as a small experiment eventually became part of the formal curriculum. It pulled me into the world of mentorship early and shaped how I think about coaching, supporting others, and helping people understand who they want to become. Since then, my work has been about building and fixing things in the real world. I’ve led teams, shaped products, untangled messy problems, and stepped in when founders or operators needed clarity, focus, or a reset. I’ve always been the person people go to when they’re trying to make sense of something complicated. That started with my time as a student advisor and continued as I built my career across strategy, operations, technology, and product. Along the way I’ve advised startups, built AI tools, taken on fractional leadership roles, and helped companies grow without losing what makes them special. My strength is helping people slow down the noise, see the blind spots, and move forward with decisions that feel grounded and right for them. I live in Michigan with my family, and a lot of my work reflects my desire to build things that last and make the world around me a little better. If we work together, you can expect honesty, structure, and a steady presence when things feel overwhelming. I’m both strategic and hands-on, and I show up ready to roll up my sleeves and work through whatever you’re navigating.
Why do I coach?
I coach because I know what it feels like to build something meaningful while quietly wondering if you’re doing it right. I’ve been in the rooms where the stakes are high, the path isn’t clear, and the pressure pushes you to grow faster than you planned. In those moments, having someone beside you who brings calm, clarity, and perspective can change everything. I’ve had that kind of support in my own journey, and it shaped the kind of leader, and coach, I try to be. I love helping people get unstuck and rediscover their confidence. I love watching someone go from overwhelmed to clear, from hesitant to decisive, from unsure to fully capable. Whether you’re navigating a transition, building something new, or trying to lead with more intention, my goal is to help you slow things down, see what truly matters, and move forward with purpose you can feel. Who I’m especially helpful for: ⭐ Founders who want clarity and momentum 🎯 Operators and leaders trying to level up without burning out 🚀 Builders turning raw ideas into real products or companies 🔄 People navigating career changes and big decisions 🤝 Executives who need a thought partner, not a cheerleader At the heart of it, I coach because it’s meaningful work. Helping someone grow into a more grounded, confident version of themselves is one of the most rewarding things I get to do.
