I care about helping people who may not feel represented in this process, especially those coming from nontraditional or underserved backgrounds. As an alum of Harvard Business and Kennedy Schools, I navigated multiple graduate degree admissions processes. I’ve worked with candidates who have successfully applied to Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, MIT, and other top MBA programs. I started my career at Bain & Company and then worked in tech (biz ops and growth) before grad school. I have been closely involved in civic and public service opportunities including working at the US Treasury and serving as a State Delegate prior to school. While in my three-year MPP and MBA program, I worked in Venture Capital and Growth Equity investing at Norwest Venture Partners, Floodgate Ventures, and Summit Partners. I now run Growth Strategy @ Carta, a $7B tech co in Silicon Valley. I coach in my spare time because I love helping candidates distill their stories and present the best version of themselves to adcoms! When I applied, my partner was also interested in an MBA -- we wanted to maximize our chances of living in the same city during school, which led us to deeply research and contact admissions and alumni at all top 7 MBA programs to ensure we understood how we would be evaluated. After hundreds of hours of research myself, there is nothing I love more than being able to share that knowledge strategically & concisely with applicants. I particularly enjoy working with dual-degree candidates, candidates with public/non-profit sector experience and candidates interested in emerging tech and Venture Capital. I read MBA applications for the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley; I sat on the UT Austin MBA Student Admissions Committee when I was earning my MBA; and I've been a recruiter for top tech companies in the SF Bay Area. I received a full Consortium fellowship to complete my MBA and was also named a Forte Fellow. Currently, I am an MD/MBA candidate at Harvard Business School and the University of Michigan Medical School. I am also deeply involved in health tech entrepreneurship and investing. Stanford MBA / Stanford + Harvard JD admitee. I got into these programs after years of GMAT/LSAT study and concerted research on every element of the application process. I was asked to interview for Stanford MBA on day 1 and I was interviewed by Mary Barra (CEO of General Motors), so I have intimidating interview prep experience. I was accepted without being waitlisted. Looking back, I had an abysmal starting point, with a very naive concept of what a sterling essay or LoR might look like. But I meticulously sought out how to craft each element masterfully. I also developed a study plan that got me to a 770 GMAT (51 on math after a middling score) and helped me ace the logic and nearly ace the logical reasoning sections of the LSAT. I had spent over a year studying for the GMAT only to have a middle-of-the-road math score. Then I diligently pieced together a plan by studying those who aced the math portion and bumped my score to 51 (effectively the max) on the GMAT math. I did something similar for the LSAT logic sections (3/4 of the test). My pitch: I will concisely help you get from mediocre to maximum on every element of your application and test-taking process for MBA and JD programs. I have helped multiple people, with a relatively small amount of time and tight timeframe, get into Yale's JD program and interview for Stanford's MBA program with guidance it took me years to distill. I'll do the same for you. Once at Stanford, I led an initiative among 100+ incoming Stanford GSB students to collaboratively prepare for advanced-level coursework, resulting in the highest number of students in advanced courses in the school's history. Multiple classmates went on to pursue highly technical careers in part because of it. I'll help you strategize for this too!
