Over the past several years at Leland, I’ve personally chatted with thousands of prospective MBA applicants, attended hundreds of free admissions events, and participated in dozens of MBA classes and bootcamps. These experiences have given me a unique lens into the evolving landscape of business school admissions and what it takes to craft a powerful, compelling application. I specialize in helping candidates navigate the MBA admissions process with strategy and confidence. I was admitted to both Kellogg and MIT Sloan, and while at Kellogg, I served on the Student Admissions Committee—interviewing prospective students and gaining firsthand insight into what top programs value most. Since then, I’ve coached dozens of applicants to successful outcomes at M7 and other top-tier programs. MBA Deferred Admit to Wharton Business School, MIT Sloan, and Yale SOM. My university is a non-target school for top graduate programs with around a ~67.6% admission rate and an unranked business school by USNews. The total student population of CSUF's business college is around 9,000+, and I was successful in differentiating myself and being the very first deferred MBA admit out of my university. I have had experience coaching/tutoring friends and family for years and love helping others through the platform Leland has built! I also coach for management consulting and undergraduate admissions on Leland.

Candidates, especially ones from common or overpopulated demographics, need to stand out. We will work together so that you are not a one-dimensional candidate in the eyes of the Admissions Committee but one who adds something special to the entering cohort. I have been interviewing candidates as a Kellogg alum since 1993. I recruited Executive MBA candidates for Kellogg throughout Latin America and ran information sessions on the fulltime program while a Kellogg director. Later, I worked several years at two of the larger players in the MBA admissions consulting industry before deciding to offer the same services independently. Clients love my authenticity, enthusiasm, and sense of humor. But while a confessed porphyrophile, I have also helped clients get into a wide range of Top Twenty programs, including the M7.

I was fortunate enough to receive acceptances to 5 top MBA programs (HBS, GSB, Booth, Wharton, and Berkeley). I have helped numerous students throughout the application process, including reviewing essays, resumes, and helping with test taking strategies. I’m proud to say that I have a 100% success rate so far with individuals that I’ve worked with- my mentees have received acceptances at HBS, GSB, and Wharton! I was admitted to HBS and Stanford GSB through the deferred/2+2 program. After that, I founded Deferred MBA Consulting and have helped hundreds of clients with their applications. Ultimately, learnings from Deferred MBA laid the foundation for Leland. Since most of my time is spent building Leland, I'm best working with clients who don't need intensive coaching in a short amount of time. I love working with clients who have strong backgrounds but just need a few hours of time on application strategy, essays, recommender selection/prep, and interviews.

Shortly after earning my MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, I began coaching MBA applicants through one of the most transformative processes of their professional lives. Hello! As a Wharton MBA graduate with honors and a former Admissions Fellow, I have a deep understanding of what top business schools are looking for in applicants. I am a Wharton MBA graduate (with Honors, 2021) and love helping prospective MBA students get into their dream MBA program - a daunting process that can be fun if done with an adequate amount of preparation. While at Wharton, I was an Admissions Fellow, helping run Wharton's (in)famous Team Based Discussions (TBDs) while also serving as a face of the school by running info sessions.
